    Guys,
I'm running 285/55 R20s on my 17 CM. I want ot push the wheels out a bit, but don't know how to determine 1) the offset of my rims and 2) the max tire size.

Can anyone tell me how to determine my options? Am i on the right track?
    Thanks
    Zlaneb

With the 20 inch wheels, that's probably about the biggest tire you can go. I'm thinking that a 295/55 would possibly fit. Not sure if it would hit the control arm or not. I tried 2" spacers on mine and they made the tires rub slightly. You want to do trimming or not?

And, what lift, if any, do you have?

Looking at your signature, I am assuming that you have the stock 20 inch wheels. They are 20x8 and 60 mm offset. If you get 1 & 1/4 inch wheel spacers, that will be like 28 mm offset wheels. But stock wheels are 8 inches wide, so you don't have to worry about hitting the body mount. The size of the tires really depend on the lift you have (or you are planning to get).

I'm not sure, but on my truck it came with these ultra motorsport wheels that I think the dealer put on as part of their XP package. I'm not entirely sure what size they are as I can't find them on the website anymore, but I just can fit my fingers between the tire and the upper control arm when the wheel is straight. A size bigger would put me awful close to rubbing.

Now, my wheels could be 9 inch wheels I guess. Not really a wheel guy. Is it as simple as taking a tape measure and measuring the wheel to determine their width?

EDIT: I actually found my wheels online. Mine are the Ultra Motorsports Mammoth, they come in a 9 inch wheel in the 20".

Thanks guys for the information so far. Here is the pic of the wheel I have on the truck. I don't have a lift at all, and not sure I will lift it yet. Struggling through considering a 3/1 lift but honestly that puts me on a path of larger tires/wheels. Not a bad thing mind you, but the wife's jeep gets new shoes and wheels before I can get mine. Damn vehicles chew the heck out of a paycheck.

So here is a pic of my wheels. Thinking spacers would give a bit more aggressive look to the truck. Any downsides to spacers that I should consider?

Don't know yet. Came with truck and not called out on invoice/sticker. Provided a pic of wheels in post.

Those look like the TSS package wheels. I believe they're +50 offset

If you just want to push them out, wheel spacers will be fine. Probably want to stay in the 1.00"-1.25" range. Just measure from your current wheel to visualize how far they'll stick out.

I agree with Joon, those look a lot like TSS wheels except the center cap? The downside to spacer: slightly larger turning radius; some shops might not wanna work on your wheel/tires.
Be sure to get quality spacers from a reputable company (just my opinion). Spider tracks or Bora make good ones. This is just my opinion but I chauffeur valuable cargo, 2 daughters. I'm running 1.25" Spider tracks.

Thanks again for hte assistance. Last question - will spacers create any issues for my Nannies (ASD, skid control etc)? I ask because the dealer never could fix my over sensitive nannies on my 2011. Every freakn' corner I took with any aggression set them off. Same corners in my 17 and 6 weeks into the new truck and they have yet to go off. i just don't want to introduce that problem. It drove me nuts!
    thanks,
    z.

Never heard of spacers causing nannies to go off. Should be good.

I've been thinking of spacers for a while now, I have the same wheels and tires as you. It's the TSS Off Road package. Lot of guys have not had any problems at all with them, but there are a few that have had problems. The idea of a tire coming loose or off while driving down the highway is not something I want to deal with. So I've held off on them.

    So that's a +50 offset and 8" wide? If so, a 1.25" spacer would yield about a +18 offset?

I identify with that concern. After 1,000 mi or so and checking the spacers, everything is just fine, no loosening, no vibration, just a better stance. Disclaimer: This has been my experience, no guarantees offered.

Gentlemen, tomorrow i am going by local 4x4 and doing the spider 1.25 a $200 investment and if i don't like them then i pull them. Cheap mod. That said, did y'all use lock tite for the spacer lugs AND which lugs (coned or studs)?
    Thanks,

Come one TechMan - just do it! Let's compare in 6 months. A friend of mine did the Spiders and he has had them 3 years, no problems.

Thanks Joon, The OP had already sent me a PM and I replied. If he can buy 4 brand new Spidertrax spacers for $200 then he should do it! That would be an incredible price as I paided $258.00 plus shipping from the Spidertrax site itself (www.Spidertrax.com/products/2007-Up-Tundra_2) If the deal falls through and he wants to buy my set. That's fine, I'm not going anywhere. Good luck OP, I hope it works out for you!

Oh and if anyone is wondering ... I had mine on for about 4,500 miles with no problems what so ever. You just need to recheck the torque after about 100 miles and retighten if needed. With a small amount of thread lock it's doubtful you'll have any issues.

Update - Got the Spacers on today. Went with the 1.25 inch since I have the Toyo 20 inch wheels. Thanks to all for the info as I worked through this mod. It looks great, I will post pictures tomorrow

I have had the 1.25" spidertrax wheel spacers for i think close to 3 years now. No issues at all. Give a great looking stance to the truck.

Well guys, love the look, but got the dreaded rub on the front wheel well when fully locked. Unfortunately I do a full lock turn everyday to get into my parking spot at work.
The rub chewed off the screw heads on the screws that hold the fender liner in place on my front left. Anybody have a 2014+ that has dealt with this problem? Ive read that the models before 2014 you could move the fender liner in about 3/4 of an inch but that it isn't an option on the 2014+ trucks.
Feedback appreciated b/c I'm 300 bucks into these and not happy!

@zlaneb i never tried it on mine, but I'm pretty sure you can move the liner forward on our trucks too. Mine is a 16. If you look under that liner, it's three screws there and some screws running up the side of the fender well. If you take those out, you've got around an inch you can shove it forward, pop some new holes in the bottom of the liner and go right back into the holes in your bumper. Someone here mentioned to me about possibly using some weather stripping to fill the gap that's gonna come up on the side of the fender well when you push it forward.

Thanks Man I also heard it is good to use a heat gun to soften up the plastic before pushing it in. The 3 screws you mentioned well, they are gone now HA! Tire rubbed the head off and they fell out. I would consider leveling the front end if that would help. I can kick some serious butt in Calculus or Algebra, but my geometry skills suck; so I don't know if lifting up would help or not.
