Is this coupon code still valid? Has anyone ordered and installed the SS Off Road slimline for their Tundra yet? I am considering ordering one but really need to read some feedback on fit and finish and ease of install before placing my order.

If so photos of install on a Tundra would be appreciated!

So sorry we didn't see your inquiry. There are quite a few pics on our website for your review. http://www.southernstyleoffroad.com/product/2016-tundra-slimline-hybrid/. The coupon code is no longer valid, but if you'll send me a PM I'll be glad to provide one for you since we missed your post.

Therre are a few floating around out there. Most of our sales for the Tundra are actually to new dealers around the country. Here's one from a prominent member on TundraCrew's facebook page.

I think those members with interest in this bumper want to hear from individual Tundra owners who have ordered, taken delivery, and actually done their own install.

Certainly dealers have plenty of hands and tools to make quick work of most installations.

Hopefully a member here who has purchased this bumper will chime in on his install experience and how it went.

Trust me, I know allot of people are waiting for me to review it as promised, just bare with me about a week and it'll be worth it. I'm like 90 something % done on install and the thread will be extremely detailed when I post it. Hoping to get that done with the half million pics I took to help others I know are interested.

Tnx, I think so too. Those on here that have come to know me, know I'm a no b.s. straightforward, tell it how it is kinda guy. My posts can be verified that I've been wanting to make this happen for some time now. Finally had some extra cash leftover to make it happen and figured I'd take a chance and be the test dummy. For those who don't know me I wanted to post a pic to prove I have it and give those time if they wanted to go back in time to check that I'm a real person, not paid to do it, and verify that I get a little enjoyment out of helping others by checking my posts if they want. I'm running the defense on my oldest son's football team, work 6 days a week regularly on top of being called in for emergency type situations at any time and hour, I can keep going but I'm guessing no need. I didn't want to post a pic and say yeah it's cool. Like I mentioned before, I enjoy helping others and I'm very aware there's a lot of people who are or were on fence about it like myself at 1 time. I want to help those people out by giving an in depth review of it which takes a bunch of time and effort too. Those that know me already, sorry guys, I ain't worried about ya, but for those that don't, trust me I'm doing the best I can with the very limited free time I got and don't want to disappoint by throwing up there 1 pic and a half ass review like it's cool. For those big wigs in the tundra community that know me from here and other sites just give me a little more time and know I'll be doing my best to put together an informative honest review with a ton of pics to go with it. Soon as I do that feel free to open the flood gate of questions which I'm sure won' by not answering the questions I've got already, I'm sure many will be answered just by reading my thread soon as I can put it all together. At that point, if you need any additional info feel free. Please keep in mind even though I really enjoy this site and the people I've got to know here I may have bent the rules and became a member of multiple tundra related sites and try to help members there too. Just know I'm the guy with so little free time that manages to continue spreading himself thinner and thinner. So pls keep all this in mind and in the very near future u guys will have yourself a detailed review and install that u can trust along with pics and answers to all the questions one might want to ask. Just do me the favor of waiting for my thread before hitting me with tons of questions I'm hoping to answer as many as I can with the details and pics I took while doing install in the thread I'll be posting hoping by end of next weekend.

Me too, got me rethinking the red D rings I got while was planning on adding the black daystar isolaters to it. Now I need a factor 55 either pro link or ultra link in red to replace warn hook. Then I can keep warn winch rope tight to hawse fairlead without needing it to be exposed and hooked to d ring. Not only looks better and cleaner but safer too when winching to utilize the closed end technique. Damn u factor 55, I rushed the factor 55 fairlead and paid almost double to get it next day so I didn't have to go back into bumper after install. I think the next day from not far in PA was bout same price as product. I bit bullet bc i only came across night b4 install and wasn't sure if I'd have to pull apart bumper, grill, ect to replace warns shiny chrome later. If anyone wants to buy warn brand new hawse fairlead lmk. Lol. I'm resisting the urge but don't think i got willpower to not pull trigger on those factor 55 products along with a bubba rope gator jaw in the very soon future. Plan is finalize install wiring n switches, put together and post install thread n review, add factor 55 products soon, then do build thread. Later will be dap tune, retro heads, and couple other little tricks up my sleeve, then sit back and enjoy my truck exactly the way I want dammit. But we all know how that goes, just when u think done, someone does what I'm about to do. Lol

I'm quite the newbie here, and while this thread may be a little old I can report that yesterday I received word that my Slimline bumper has shipped out and is on it's merry way to me.
I can say so far, based on my conversations (both verbal and email) with Southern Style Offroad, that they have been a pleasure to deal with. When I placed my order, I ordered a spare (third) red shackle (for my rear hitch) and a within days I received an actual phone call from a real human begin just to check if I'd made a mistake in ordering 3 shackles or not. I have also received email updates throughout the entire manufacturing process (which is kinda cool in itself)

I went with the Slimline bumper because I was looking to keep a smooth stealth look to my Tundra build, wanted a functional winch bumper, and in pictures the Slimline bumper just looks like it belongs on the front of a Tundra.

I'll update once it arrives, I've had a chance to inspect it, and figure out when I'll be able to install it (the Tundra won't fit in my garage and as winter approaches it makes exterior installations a little more difficult)

    Stay tuned.

Tnx. That's what I shoot for. Tasteful mods. Try to add without taking too much away. Keep it a Tundra, just make it better.
20171101_182125.jpg 20171101_182203.jpg Not too over the top. Mean, cool, tough, show, and go without getting stupid is what I aim for. Gotta serve a purpose and look good to go on. I'm pretty OCD and almost go through a checklist pros/cons to make sure I should do it.

20171003_171310.jpg More bumper related. Just a fyi or warning. Make sure you are happy with your fairlead before you mount bumper. I'd been fine with the warn one but the night before mounting my bumper I decided to buy the factor 55 fairlead and almost pay double to overnight so that I wouldn't have to remove it later down the road. Just to think about to save you time and or money.

Yes. I've been looking at that fairways of yours. I'm thinking I may have to order one. Sounds silly, but I'm not sure the polished aluminum that comes with my winch will look at subtle. Damn bumper of yours.... Costing me more money.

Lol. Yeah the one that came with my warn wasn't horrible looking but I did it more for the rock chips on the aluminum eventually rusting, where the harder billet factor 55 shouldn't do that. It does look better too which didn't hurt my decision.

The hook for the pro link or whatever else u decide can always be done later down the road but the fairlead I'm not so sure can be changed later unless you got the universal bumper or the bumper I believe they call for all other winches besides warn platinum Xeon winch. There may be enough room to change that later on the sso bumper besides mine. On mine i think Id have to remove whole thing which i why I did mine b4 mounting 1st time.

    Nothing major
This is definitely an awesome looking bumper. However one of the primary motivations I have for replacing the stock bumper is to get rid of those stupid plastic end caps. They're too easily damaged off-road because they're all plastic, they're expensive to have replaced, and they hang down too low which makes them vulnerable.

I made a run across the border yesterday morning to pick up the Factor 55 fairlead at the drop ship business. Get back to work in the afternoon and get a call that, you got it, my bumper showed up. I'll be back down next Wednesday and will pick it up. Next issue will be the weather. Winter had settled in big time, so the new bumper may be waiting for awhile.

Cool, make it happen. Don't forget pics when u get it on. W ont need a whole day to install but prob best to set that time aside just in case for some reason. The bumper and winch weren't bad, bumper being easiest, the light bar was actually the thing that took time for me.
