    Yes in Brownsville started thurs/fri not sure. Also Borderfest start thurs here in Hidalgo. Over priced tho! They raised ticket prices this year for entrance

    @FoghornTX you’ll like the saltwater fishing especially when you catch them redfish they put up a fight. I’ve only done freshwater at Falcon Lake once, as long as you stay on the US side your good calm and peaceful. Other then that saltwater fishing is what we usually do.

    Yeah livestock is fun to! I usually work it for spring break since we have a week off from work (education) I spend some of the time making extra money bartending & selling beer

    @KELZ84, I figured that was the reason. All the info is much appreciated. The McAllen area has everything that any other area has, Costco, HEB, chain restaurants, etc. I would prefer the McAllen location. I think that I would take Laredo as a second choice. Del Rio as a third.

    Any substantial feral hog hunting going on down there?

    Laredo wonderful city, but kinda hectic with cartels on both sides, as for McAllen/Edinburg not as bad, both boarder towns as I am originally from Harlingen, east of those cities

    @ARamirez73 Thanks for the info.
    I'm thinking that if folks had to make a choice between Laredo and McAllen, they would choose McAllen.

    I made the mistake of eating some tacos in Laredo when I had to make a delivery down there once. I don't remember the place but they were authentic, and very good but they didn't agree with my coonass digestive system. Good Lawd I left a trail all the way back to Lafayette.
