Was this a precut piece made for the tundra or did you buy vinyl and do it yourself

Bought it myself and cut it. Placed painters tape along the edges, put the vinyl over it and followed the seam w/ a razor. Could have possible done it opposite though. Place whole sheet on hood, outline my shape in painters tape and then cut. Although I guess knifeless tape would have been best?

@sr5shark has the vinyl on his white truck and it looks really good. It never dawned on me that it might look good on cement. Can you post more pictures? Maybe from the front.

We took a beat-up dirt road from Yucca Valley to BigBear on Saturday. Made the mistake of not taking the dirt back down on Sunday... 10 mile backup on one of the only roads down the mountain. The 2hr trip took 4 hours!!

    No "Site" per se...
Just found somewhere I liked, pulled over and set up camp!!
Boondocking I think they call it.

Since they don't allow campfires up there, having a real "SITE" seems meaningless.

Oh... And as a testament to the strength of the Tundra rear bumpers, I pulled a bone-head move and backed into a sturdy pine tree. Not a hint of damage!!
Did the same thing in my '04 a few times and each time there was a significant dent.

Realized that I haven't been updating this thread for a while... Here is the RCI Diff Skid that I installed last night.
As far as protection, I now have:
    • White Knuckle Sliders
    • P&P steel front skid
    • RCI Trans/Xfer skid
    • OEM tank skid
    • RCI rear Diff skid

Had to share some pics from my trip up to Mammoth over the weekend.
First thing that was crazy was the amount of snow that is still up there!!! I've been coming to Mammoth in the summers for at least 20 years and I have NEVER seen it like this. There would be a few isolated spots of snow in the past, but they were still allowing skiing/boarding this weekend.

    Little update on my build....
About a month ago, I bought a used Camburg CTE bumper off of @Rig4war. It had color-matched end pieces that were Smoked Mesquite, and there is no way that is matching up with my cement truck, so over the weekend I started my customization project.

Started by sanding the heck out of the end caps with some 60 grit:

    Function before sparkle.
How do you find the light pattern with the bar behind the honeycomb grill? Doesn’t it block too much?

While I've never run the bar when it ISN'T behind the grill, I can confidently say that there are no holes or gaps that I can discern when I use it. It is probably just ___% less bright than it would be with a different grill or no grill. What that number/% is, I don't know... Really happy with it in general though.

I finally got the bumper installed on my rig this weekend. Of course it was about 100 degrees out, so I was sweating like a... Uh... LOL, all my references are NSFW. Lets just say it was HOT HOT HOT!!!

Overall the install was very straight forward. I didn't expect that this would be the case, but you pretty much HAVE to remove your grill when mounting the new bumper (and to remove the old one). Toughest part was trying to get some of the sensors/fogs un-clipped. If I had to do it again, I would REALLY recommend getting a 14mm Deep Socket CTE 4.jpg

For those wondering, the bumper has a little bit showing off the two ends when you don't use it with long-travel front qtr panels.
