    I thought 1989-2000 was OBS then 2000-2006 was NBS, 2007-2017 = NNBS, etc. Or if you're not on GMFS, you're allowed to use the terms GMT-400, GMT-800, GMT-900, etc.

    T4R.org is dead wrong on that. I was a fairly active poster there, being an owner at the time they did that. It caused (and still causes) quite the confusion over there. Speculation that the new 4Runner was coming was pretty heavy in 2018, and the forum created a 6th gen subform to collect all the speculative threads in one place. Well, the 2019 4runner came and went, and it's still the same thing. It did get two new features: Toyota Safety Sense, and two USB ports in the backseat. Not a new generation. There are still posts over there that joke and confused posters asking why it looks like they're calling the 2019 (but not the 20 or the 21, if you notice) 4Runner a "6th gen" when the 6th Gen 4Runner isn't out yet.

    The 4Runner is still on the 5th Gen (N280 platform) 2010-current.

    Here's a 6th Gen TRD Pro for you::D

    I was just applying their confusing body generation terms to our Tundra years. I’ve got a friend that’s into the NBS scene and it’s a running joke how ridiculous the naming convention is.

    I have nothing of worth to add to the discussion, but I'll post this spiffy pic anyways in keeping with some of the other comments.
