    I love mine as well. And as far as the forum is concerned, this truth has been ignored presumably because it's easier to leave things they way they are. But misinformation always multiplies. It leads to more misinformation ("4th gen"). Suppose the next gen (which is 3rd, but the forum currently calls it 4th) gets a refresh in a few years. Forum: LoOk iTs a 5tH gEn tUnDrA. Then when the actual gen 4 comes out in several years, the forum will be calling that the 6th gen. :facepalm:

    The forum can obviously do whatever it wants. It could call 2014+ Tundras the Magic Rainbow Hello Kitty generation. And that would still be wrong. I'm just chiming in on the side of reality when it comes up. If that's beating a dead horse, gimme dat bat.

    The powers that be here have always taken this criticism in stride. I appreciate that at least.

    Since 2021 is the first Tundra I ever owned, for me, it is my 1st Generation. Hmm...going backwards in a hurry in this thread.

    It seems that the only thing really confirmed about the 2022 is that it has lights.

    HA! I did the mental math. Unless the 3.5 is called the 4th, then it might be the 5th:notsure:

    OK, now in dog years.

    Let's just adopt the Chevy guys' thing, 2000-2006 = OBS (Old Body Style), 2007-2013 = NBS (New Body Style), 2014-2021 = NNBS (New New Body Style), 2022-? = RNBS (Really New Body Style)

    I have to correct you on your 4Runner information. The 2019 MY 4Runner is 6th gen. No word on where the 2018 fits in, possibly 5.5 gen? Also, we're unsure if 2020 and 2021's are 6th, 7th, or 8th gen...

    :annoyed::rofl:
