So has anyone actually solved the bed bounce/embarrassing highway ride?

I guess I should have said that the bucking on concrete highways is pickup truck problem. Just about every pickup I've riden in had it to some degree.

Every pickup is going to have some bed bounce and frame twist too though. I think the tundra is worse than average because the frame is boxed only from the cab forward and I think the rear section is far more flimsy than the front section. Combine that with a very heavy front half of the truck and a heavy rear axle; the bed ends up getting thrown around a lot. There's no weight and stiffness in the rear part of the frame to control it better.

I have the Falcon Leveling system with Coachbuilder +1 shackles and bed bounce is pretty much gone now.
A couple of long weird bridges on one route I take frequently still cause it very slightly but worlds better than with the stock suspension.

I too have the bed bounce. 19’ with Toytec Boss coils on the front and shocks on the rear. CB shackles on the rear as well. I also just put on JBA UCA - I drove my dad’s Chevy 2500 for a couple days and it had a similar harmonic bounce as my truck but the bounce didn’t seem to be as bad. My truck is super smooth on blacktop and even some concrete stretches but some stretches of concrete the bounce is fairly pronounced.

So I got around to picking up those 2019 Sport shocks that... That'll be Step 1 to trying to smooth out the ride. Next up would be the CB +1 shackles.

There's also someone local selling Camburg UCAs... Any chance they'd provide any improvements for $500?

Question: the shocks didn't come with the bushings, and the originals from 2011 look pretty well toasted...any recommendations for an upgrade to the shock bushings I should get to install while I'm at it? For clarification, it's the vertical bushings on top. The pressed in bushings on the bottom eye are there.

I just installed JBA arms. Overall performance improvement and seemed to tighten up the steering (I assume with the added caster) but didn’t improve the bounce for me. I also have Toytec rear shocks and CB shackles.

If you're still feel some feedback after installing our +1"s give me a call and will gladly help. we can adjust torque spec on the lower shackle bolts allowing a slightly less aggressive pivot and will normally eliminate any bound up energy that may be felt. David 801.635.4872

Thats a nice system, We've had excellent result with the Falcons paired up with our shackles.

Falcons are hands down the best kit under $2k by an absolute long shot.

Yes still have some pretty severe bounce on certain stretches of highway. I’ll be glad to give it a try.

Keeping this alive a little bit: I filmed this on my way home from a quick beer run this weekend, on some concrete highway sections. There's a bottle of Buffalo Trace in the bag, and it was sitting perfectly to be able to hear how much bouncing/vibration is coming through on roads like this in the cab: https://www.instagram.com/tv/CZctQ1DqnLE/

been in the tundra game since 08 when i bought my truck new. folks that are saying they've never had it may not know exactly what the issue is but (it's a known thing just google it and) every tundra has some level as well as other trucks. in many cases it's more pronounced on certain roads at certain speeds in particular concrete highways versus black paved ones.

there was a tsb back in 08 to change out body mount bushings. i had that done and it helped but was still there. the only thing that has addressed it for me is some weight in the back and upgraded suspension but mostly it was the weight in the back. i'm running a full size spare swing out and left my oem spare under the truck. i can honestly say the majority of it is gone but there's still very little weight in the back so some remains. minimal tho.

My 2015 Tundra 1794 has 107,000 miles and has always had a smooth ride on asphalt and dirt roads… but on concrete freeway it is absolutely horrible. When on the freeway I wonder why I keep it… only because I forget about it after I exit the truck. The only time it rides decent on the freeway is when it is loaded with people and gear in the bed.

I have added ~500-1000lbs in my bed depending on how loaded up it is and I never experience bounce any more. It was bad stock though.
