So got my new truck decked out

When I was Tundra shopping last year one dealership had a couple of them with the Built In Texas stickers. I thought they were just there as a sales gimmick. When I asked the salesmen he said that's the way they come and people like it. Can't say I have seen any on the road where I am. Of course I live in The PRofC.

 

I like the stickers. It's nice to see something different

 

I thought that he owned the actual pace truck

 

He does but Toyota has those decals on some of the Tundras at lots. Not sure if it's from factory or port installed.

 

I dont see a generator and xmas lights on it. So,,,, it’s not done!!!

 

Then it got a new hood and front end.

 

I can’t believe people actually like that. It’s like keeping a sticker on a ball cap. I bet the salesman was lying about them ordering them like that because of a demand or something.

 

Hate to be that guy but they definitely lied to you if they told you your truck was the actual pace vehicle.

 

He has the paperwork to prove it tho.

 

To everyone hating and saying im lying about things or that they lied to me i have the actual paperwork from toyota and i have watched the camping world 400 race to see my truck on the track its not the pace truck its one of the pace trucks and it was also used as track cleanup

Nice truck and mods! I think it’s cool to represent made in America/Texas. I live around a lot of GM fanboys and some of my family has retired from GM so I’ve had to explain to people where my truck was made at. Really thinking about a decal that says BUILT IN TEXAS SO STFU! Lol

Truck mods look good. When they start buying your vehicles for you then they can tell you what to do. You like it, thats all that matters. I know some may not like my truck but until they buy me one and put it in the driveway, they can all suck it. You dont need to justify anything to anyone.

 

I have no idea what you are talking about as far as crying and couldn't care any less what the truck did.
I was wondering why they would change it is all.

I dont follow racing or and sport for that matter.

I was wondering why they would change it from Chrome to all matching and add a scoop on the hood.

Maybe not be so defensive under general curiosity.

I am not saying it isnt a pace car, I am not saying that it isn't the holy grail of NASCAR or whatever.

I just wanted to see what it did and looked up the race and noticed the only white truck with stickers all over it looked like they changed it after the race.

I will bow out as I have no idea why people are getting so bent one, on a forum and two, because I am wondering why they changed it.
Maybe I was looking at the wrong truck.

I am trying to say teach someone instead of getting all amped up over simple stickers on a truck and what they mean.
Just say the truck wasn't the actual pace truck but was at the race they sell them to those that like them.

I thought it was a pace car so I looked it up.
