Hey everyone. Does anyone have any recommendations for a muffler shop in the Riverside area? I'd like to get an exhaust put on but always feel better about a shop if it comes recommended.

Check out Jima Hajer Garage in la habra. Chris and Felix, the owners are very well versed in any and all aspects of tundras / Tacomas ect. They specialize in suspension mods and all upgrades. Chris is an amazing mechanic who also is into off-roading Toyotas.

Street Image Automotive in Santa Ana has always treated me well. They have good people there and they always had the lowest prices.

I go to Miyaki Motorsports in El Monte. They’ve done work on my Tundra and GX460.
They specialize in Toyota/Lexus and are pretty well priced for the awesome work they do.

Jay the owner also has a nice 3rd gen tundra.

@papasmurf Regarding your local alignment shop - do you have the name? Rough price on alignment? Ive had alignments done here in Poway, but not sure they do such a great job with off-road / lifted trucks, so looking for a decent place that doesn't just align to specs, but rather know what they are doing and can tweak accordingly. I'm about to lower my icon's back to factory setting and put new wheels and tires on so want to get everything done right.

Also, open to any other member suggestions, or alignment specs I should be aiming at with icons on default settings.

I’ve had great results at SoCal Suspension on N. Marshall in El Cajon; that’s where I take my long-travel Hulk that @papasmurf built. BUT we figured out that only the alignment tech “Chris” is infallible. There’s another tech there that couldn’t align @jc153 ‘s truck when he went long travel; I think he ended up going to East Co. Alignment to get it did. John, can you correct me, if this is wrong?

Aren’t you up north a ways though-? And, if you’re setting it back to stock height (or did you mean something hi by else), seems like it should be easy to align....

Yeah I was disappointed with my last alignment at SoCal Suspension. Driver side caster was 2.5° and pass side was 4.5°. I had it aligned at SoCal right before a long road trip and it pulled really bad so I had it re-aligned when I reached my destination.
I’ve just been going to Bee Line Alignment by my house. They get the numbers I want and sometimes give me a discount.
I have used East County Alignment in the past with good results but it’s been several years.

poway, not going to stock but just want to move my icons lower about .25 of an inch on the threads. Restore some rake and get slightly better ride comfort. I have researched alignment specs so I will try out evans tires here in Poway and see if they can get close enough. got my new wheels and tires on though - looks good and rides better

So glad I found this thread... with some familiar names in here too!

Moved down to SD area two months ago. Enjoying so far. Truck has gone to the truck shop in Miramar once last week and headed back in tomorrow. Terrific guys! So laid back and knowledgeable makes me feel super comfortable.

Butttt would gladly go drink some beers with @papasmurf and watch as all this electric junk I have laying around gets installed... since I’m scared of shocky shocky.

    SD people let’s meet up!

also, does anyone have a tire connect down here? Both for truck stuff and car stuff.

Honestly, installing an exhaust is really hard for any legit muffler shop to screw up.

If I didn't build my own exhausts, I would just go to the local muffler shop.
