BC has been looking great the past couple months (as always) haha

Haven't sledded up there in a few years, gonna make it back up next season for sure.

Yeah lot of high elevation riding, those photos I posted are at about 11,000 ft.

Makes riding closer to sea level a trip for the sake of breathing and your sled running even better haha.

Crazy. Everything has to work so hard at that elevation. Would feel like a turbo sled at sea level.
Most we see here is 9000’ ish feet. Calgary is 3700’ which is kind of suprising.

Last month, my son and I had a chance to go snowmobiling in Island Park, Idaho- up near Yellowstone. Incredible trip! The entire town of Island Park caters to snowmobilers and claims over 950 miles of groomed trails... Perfect for folks like me who don’t want to risk getting themselves hopelessly buried somewhere out in the backcountry pow.

Ride up a local river last year. Precious picture because the little guy riding with us is my nephew (second rider from the right). He was pretty sick that day, but still wanted to ride. He had been fighting cancer (neuroblastoma...a pediatric nerve cancer) for about 5 years. He had to stop a couple of times to vomit while riding. An absolute Warrior. He passed away this fall, so no riding with him this year...miss him River ride 2018 B_edited.jpg

Yep it's a ripper, took 1/2 day to get her trail worthy, I enjoy my time with the boys riding my two Elan 250s on the rivers, to many cityidiots on the state trails. They go anywhere, start with 2 pulls, and won't break your back when you get stuck.

Didn’t know there was a snowmobile thread on here. Long time rider and just recently picked up a brand new 17 limited cat 162x3 in March. Put a 100 miles on it just before I parked it. Loving it so far. Can’t wait till the snow starts to fly E1F95E33-1F67-4F88-8666-37B9790AABCB.jpgFCE5A44B-C88D-422B-BDA7-A4DC5BE3D71B.jpg

Ummm, don’t you all mean “snowmachine”? (AK thing).

Still rocking my old tired iron 13 Pro RMK LE. But got married this spring, and thinking I’ll give the ‘13 to the better half and get something new.

Really do enjoy hopping on all my buddies AXYS, and they have by far the best local dealer.

Grew up on Cats, and drawn to the AC Alpha and mono skid. Decent dealer about a half hour away. Just can’t help but be worried about AC future since now owned by Textron and going with that weird order system now. How committed to sleds is Textron?

BRP is a great sled too (not as young as I used to be, and love the idea of Shot Start). Decent dealer an hour away. Still have a bad taste in my mouth tho after having two motors totally grenade in an 06 REV I had.

Love the 4 stroke, it’s a little weak on horsepower (90 hp, non turbo) but for a guy like me in my 60’s, I’ve done all the speed demon riding with a 2 stroke that I can handle..haha,
It is as quiet as a church mouse, cruising through the trails at low speed, (actually hear the snow hitting the skis) no oil to constantly fill, no stink and great gas mileage, all pluses for me

    Sounds ideal.
Are oil changes easy? what are the Valve adjustment intervals? I hate valve adjustments.

Once you’ve done a couple oil changes they get pretty easy, there is a procedure to do them, the oil filter is a pain in the butt to get to but once you’ve done a few it’s not too bad, not sure about the valves haven’t had enough miles yet to have that checked out it’s only got 4800 miles on it

Sold my single sled deck and made this. Got a $150 tailgate and screwed the wood right too it, the other wood is screwed to the bed mat so it only moves a bit. Now I can load up the night before as i can fit it under the garage door. appreciate the little conveniences as I get older haha.

Picked this up from an older fella this season. Should be a lot easier to ride than the old one.

You run it up an aluminum folding ramp to get it into the bed?

I am still waiting (with increasing impatience) for my new 2022 Matryx Khaos Slash RMK 850 to show up. Polaris is saying they will ship by the middle of the month.

Supposed to get a good dumping this week, so will at least get the 13 RMK 800 out and dusted off when we get back from from Mexico this weekend.

I just have a 6’ alum. Trifold ramp as my truck is factory height, if you have a lift you may want a longer one.

Hopefully you get your new sled arrives on time, but at least you have the old one to keep you rolling.
