    I know @Larmand doesn't want the snow because he doesn't want OT....but damn i miss the snow! I even went to Reno for a week in hopes of seeing snow and it was colder in DFW than Reno the whole time I was gone.:(

    Fairbanks, AK is a balmy 7* right now. Pretty bad you have to head up to AK to "warm" up a little bit.

    when I remodeled my old dumpstead a few years back..
    I added a 40,000 btu propane fireplace that works off a t-stat.
    it heats our modest home real good.

    if the t-stat drops 1* it fires back up.
    I typicily have it set at 74* to keep my old bones workin'

    yup... best $$$ spent.
    we got on a budget plan with our propane dealer.. they auto fill 4 times a year & we pay 30 bucks a month $360 bucks a year for all that heat, Awesome
