Thanks! I've been meaning to update this thread, but nothing particularly exciting has occured. I saw you liked the post about me thinking of getting a diesel, and that actually came to fruition about a year ago!

And as said in that post, I have no intention to get rid of the Tundra. I didn't want to get a one ton since that would overlap use case 95% with the Tundra, plus reliability seemed questionable and cost was insane, and the Tundra isn't worth much money so selling it is kind of pointless. Buying a semi fit in perfect with that though, it cost $10k and has effectively unlimited potential compared to any normal truck, and it is reserved exclusively for towing and is cheap enough I don't feel bad to only use it for that! And the Tundra continues to exist to fill the "pickup truck" roll of going to the dump, hauling engines and tools around, and just normal truck and still being a good reliable daily. And sometimes it still ends up towing stuff when a specific use case or timing requires it.

Though going from the semi to the Tundra really makes you realize how terrifying a half ton towing is hahaha
