Color matched bumper caps and grill. Looks a lot better than the chrome IMO.

Under the knife as I am posting this

Also, Anybody seen a step by step tutorial of the fender liner mod? Don't quite know how I am supposed to push it back. I know I need a heat gun but anything else?

Finally able to get the picture up here. Here is the final product (...temporary...lol)

Waiting to find the time to do a CMC/BMC. Also thinking about modding the rear mud flaps to stick out to cover tire.

Decided to pull the trigger on the Camburg balljoint UCA with the Moog boot. I had SPC uniballs on my Tacoma and they squeaked like none-other. After getting a Tundra, I've learned that that is normal for uniballs. Decided to to go with the Camburg balljoint because of the upgrades they have made and because it is a sealed UCA. Will post pics soon

I paid exactly $659.00. $599 for UCA's and $60 for shipping to Honolulu, HI. I had a buddy of mine who works for a shop call to see if they gave wholesale but unfortunately, they don't. It's all good though I have heard good things about them. You may want to check out wheelersoffroad.com. I thought I may have saw $579 or $569, but I'm not sure. Let me know what you decide on!

UPDATE: Suspension seems to be settled in. I am liking the ride a lot. With the 5100's on max clip setting and the Toytec AAL in the rear, my measurements are about 3/4 of an inch higher in the rear than in the front. In the future I may want to get 1 inch shackles (or new leaf packs when these sag) to get just tad bit more rake. Other than that, it is looking solid. I have yet to take it off-roading because I want to put the UCA's on and get a solid alignment before we get CRAZZZYYYY (not). More updates coming soon...

I think a lot of the fellas on here will tell you it is what you are looking for out of the UCA's. From my personal opinion, I see off-road terrain but with no terrain that requires me to flex the suspension like crazy. However, if this was the case, I may have gone with a uni-ball set up.

    Balljoint:
PROS: Sealed & greased joint, less maintenance similar to that of stock, less exposed to elements and gunk (ex: salt, rain, mud, etc.)
CONS: Doesn't allow for as much adjustment, wheel travel, or "flex"

    Uni-ball:
PROS: highly adjustable, allows for more wheel travel and "flex"
CONS: Needs maintenance more often, regressing, cleaning, uni-ball swaps.

Again, this is all my opinion for what I wanted out of my truck. I had SPC uni-ball UCA's on my old lifted Tacoma and those things were good alignment wise but they squeaked over every little bump. Even going over a speed bump, it would make people turn their heads (and not in a good way haha). I would clean them, grease them, even change them out, it always came back.

Pictures of the CMC/BMC. Took about 15 minutes to cut per side. Cut out my own plates the same day but didn't have time to tac it on. Once I weld the plates on, I'll buy a can of rubberized undercoating to finish the project.

Here are some photos of the DIY fender flares with garden liner. On Oahu, if the tread of your tires stick out past the fender, you'll need flares to get your RECON permit, therefore you'll need the flares to get your safety check/inspection. A lot of the guys I know put them on, get the permit, then take them off. I reused the factory bolt holes with some 3M double sided tape for the top of the fender well section. I didn't want to drill any holes since the fenders are metal, not plastic like our Tacoma brothers and sisters.

    IMG_3074.jpg

Connected flares to the mud flaps to cover more tread of the tire rather than fiddling with the mudflap. If I had to mess with the mud flap to bring it out more, I would have used small aluminum bars that reused the existing bolt holes so I didn't have to make new holes anywhere, other than the aluminum bar.

Buried Smokey's butt in the sand this past week! First time being able to hit the sand on the Ridge Grapplers. Big difference to me when compared to stock Michilen tires.
