IMG_20150408_104133116.jpg hi guys and gals, I guess reading the warnings on the packages first would have been smart. for anyone that uses the smelly tree car fresheners.. I use to hang one off my ac/heater fan switch and it covered my button cluster that housed my tow/haul button on my 2011 ltd CM. well just the other day I pulled it off and to find it lifted my paint on the dash..
does anyone know where to get another oem part with same color match or would I be better off just painting it black?

yep bank account is running low from it..
You can one of two things..

One sand it and paint it black for a cool look. flat black i think would be best IMO.

Two take the part off and look at the back of it. Most parts like that have toyotas sku number stamped on it.. With the sku you could shop online toyota dealers and get the best price on the part and have it shipped to you.

Same thing happened to me but I used to hang mine from the shift knob so it messed up the paint on the side the slightest bit. Hard to see because it's on the side of the console near the seat.

I didn't know they could do that! Crazy. I usually put the band around the seat belt buckle and let the tree lay between the seat and console.

I got the one with clip on . The part that clips on is plastic and smelly part sticks out without touching anything, so I am safe.

Some Mods :) See build thread for details
Agreed. Crazy it does damage like that. I'll stick to the gel ones that stay in the can that go under the seat or cup holder.

Quick update.. After sanding down the factory paint of the dash insert, I threw a few coats of semi gloss black on it and installed it back into the dash.. Its not bad looking.. I'll post a few pics later.
