Added a few more photos of what I am planning for the front doors. Just a preliminary mock up for the spacers, still need to pull a door panel and center the 8" in the hole which may shift the location in the mocked up spacer, but I am hoping that I am close for the first shot. I will seal them up once the proper hole location is settled on and I will paint them black. I will also trim the foam on the XTC baffle once I screw in the speakers and their trim rings. (Trim rings not shown in the photos)

Have you purchased a harness to tap into the Factory JBL Processor/Amp yet? Just curious what you will use. I want to add a Rockford 3Sixty.3 but don't know what harness to get that could make the install easier.

You should get ahold of @smooosh. I believe he had the 3sixty.3 for a minute before pulling it out.

Yes I purchased a wireharness adaptor from either ********* or or one of the other places I will have to look to see where its from. It is sitting in the photo in the lower right hand corner.

    Some stuff
not to hijack but ditto this. i had looked into the 3sixty.3 a bit and saw nothing but bad things. hardly anyone liked it for a variety of reasons. i went with JL's twk88 and fix86 instead paired with RF speakers, subs and amp.

I pulled it out because it did not get rid of all the hiss. From what i have seen on here nothing gets rid of all the hiss if you keep the factory head unit. You can get rid of most of it with a fix but I was not going to spend thousands of dollars updating my system only to have a hiss because i had to keep the factory head unit. I pulled out the 360 and used the money towards a new head unit. I no longer have a hiss.

Video with all the systems compared can be found here.

The harness I have is from Tech12Volts. Just looked at it. Sorry for the delayed response.

Depending on the level of product, they both have great stuff in their line up.

I am a fan of their Perfect series. They are a very natural sounding speaker. The Kappa series is more of their entry level set up. It depends on your level of listening.

Thanks for that. I am getting more into audiophile level sound every day. For music outside of the vehicle I listen to FLAC or 320 kbps MP3s through my Sony MDR-V6 or WH-H900N headphones. My personal home theater uses Martin Logan speakers because I love the responsiveness of the ribbon tweeters. At my price point they blew everything else away. So I'll check out the Perfect series from Infinity. Any other recommendations?

Focal have a few nice speakers. I havnt been out actively auditioning systems lately. Like you I love a good ribbon tweeter. I have Magnepan 1.6's, 3.3's and 3.6's at home. If only we could get that kind of quality and staging in the truck.

On another note, my Dynamat arrived, and my Amp Rack is at home. We have been dealing with 3' of snow that we got April 14,15 and continuing on today in to tomorrow. It has be so much fun that I havnt been able to get to the system and work on laying the amps out. So that is next.

Very slow. I have not touched anything in weeks. I have been dealing with 45mph winds blowing and drifting at my place and 3' of new snow since Friday. Its a beautiful winter we are having this spring.

I did get in my Dynamat so its sitting on the floor waiting for weather to break. The item I am using for my amp rack is in so I will hopefully get that out and start modifying it this coming weekend. I would like to get the amps laid out and see what I am going to do with the processor. Most likely it will have to be located away from the amps due to limited space.

This should give you an idea of what we are dealing with. The photos are of my friend Ken's 1979 Ford with a 6" lift on 35" tires.

Ok, No pictures to add at this time. I am waiting for another pay check. Need to order some more wiring for the amp rack. I worked on getting the 3 amplifiers mounted along with the Arc audio processor in the amp rack over the weekend. It is progressing slowly. Mostly due to other projects taking priority. The Juke Nismo RS has been distracting me. I have been working on a bunch of performance mods for it. Front mount intercooler, 2nd cat delete, Short runner CAI, CVT Trans oil cooler, New tires, New Blow Off Valve etc. So that sucked up a bunch of audio resources for the Tundra. I am still trying to determine how I am going to wire up everything. The biggest issue is getting the 50 farad capacitor close to the amp rack. These trucks truly lack interior space. So trying to keep this all hidden has been a royal pain in the rear. But it is progressing slowly. Sorry I dont have any better updates at this time. We just lost our snow last weekend. So I can finally remove the trucks interior when I get a chance.

I've always thought that capacitors weren't really worth it and you are better off running a stronger battery and larger wire. Drop some knowledge on me!

Batteries can not discharge fast enough to keep up with peak amplifier demands, they end up putting strain on the plates in the battery and eventually arcing and diminishing the capacity of the battery quickly. The capacitor allows the battery time to recover through the demands of music. Good batteries are no better than lead acid when it comes to this. I have killed many expensive batteries in competition. Caps are the saving grace for peak power demands and battery longevity.

So things on the Tundra are going to pick up again. My little side project distraction is coming to an end on June 1st. Due to the Tundra not being my primary transportation the Nismo RS Juke is getting a lot of attention to keep a smile on my face since I drive it daily. So updates should start coming in at a more normal pace once project Juke is complete. Dyno tune day is 6/1.

A capacitor should be installed on any system pushing over 300 watts total system power. That is a pretty heavy load.
