    Hello new member here

My truck accelerates slowly in cold weather and only for a very short time( 10 sec or so)

It does not have to be extremely cold

It then accelerates and shifts normally

    What would cause this?
    Thanks in advance!

    Bill

    Welcome from Bama!

Mine does the same. I think it’s staying in a lower gear to up the revs in order to get to operating temp faster. Pretty sure it’s normal.

    It's really dark
It sounds normal. They drive funny when cold.

It’s a system in place to prevent extra wear when the engine is still cold. It’s normal.
