I am not, but I also don't have the means to extend my frame and driveshaft myself (I'm assuming that's all it'd need? Some electrical extension but hell that much I'm good at)

 

Little more stuff: extend brake lines, gas lines, emergency brake cable, fab & relocate rear body mount, fab an additional mount for the longer bed, and change rear diff pinion angle.

 

Got some JBWeld and an angle grinder in the garage! Should do the trick yeah?

 

Don't forget the duct tape and zip ties!

 

I built the gantry and it's been quite helpful already with lifting and carrying heavy items.

I removed the DC Bed along with the DC tow hitch with the bumper still attached. I removed the CM high clearance rear bumper with ease as well.











Decided to chop off the e-brake cables rather than take the wheels off to take it apart and put the wheels back on.

Cleaning out the shit load of wiring under the truck is taking longer than expected.

Been seeing lots of post lately about replacing water pumps and have been wondering if I should.

Might as well do all of it: radiator, hoses, starter, belt, rack bushings, and add a power steering cooler.

 

What's the alternator plan? Going to swap the H/O alternator from the old truck or just buy a new one?

 

Now that you got me thinking about it….hmmmm it’s gonna take a lot of time to get that alternator out

 

Legit worried and nervous right now.
About to the DC crossmember, so that I can install the BDS drop bracket lift, then transplant the crossmember to the CM This is truly the point of no return.

 

WTF is that?!

 

That’s foam. Spray foam from the factory. That is where the rear mount of the front diff bolts into. Guessing it’s to keep dirt from piling up in the mount.

 

That robot was getting busy with the foam gun!

 

Well…. That went Schnebly Hill smooth. That sawzall definitely cut straight as spagahetti. This test fit shows I have lots of gaps to fill I guess it’ll be good practice.

 

With all the parts coming off both trucks I knew I needed a strategy to keep track of the nuts and bolts. So I’ve been bagging and tagging and now have 3 boxes worth of stuff



Unfortunately, I didn’t come up with a strategy for the backyard

 

Do you miss not having a Tundra to drive?

 

Funny you mention that cuz I miss it everyday when I drive home from work and see another Tundra on the road.
Hoping to get my CM driveable by next weekend.

 

I just had my motor replaced. I didn't have mine for a month. I missed mine. LOL

This just popped up. Curious to get your thoughts.. Similar with the Atlas but I like your idea of the tummy tuck a bit better

 

That thing is a beast! That full SAS can easily handle those 42s. I looked into getting a divorced Atlas but determined it was going to be too far down and would butt up against the fuel tank. Toolbox fuel tank, now that’s something you don’t see everyday
