I have a 2018 Tundra, to put it mildly mine SUCKS. Any overhanging tree and the signal drops, hell - any tree with 50-100' of the vehicle and the signal drops. It's pretty much impossible for me to listen on the local roads. I drive 95 (in CT) for about 7 miles and even there I routinely lose the signal. Trees are not close to the road and don't overhang.

Anyone else's sat radio do this?

My wife's vehicle (range rover) has zero issues. It works all the time and every location.

I lose signals here in the burbs too. Reception sucks but when I’m in the city, there’s no problem at all

Mine does the same thing!! Annoying AF! I have been reading it is a software issue or something to that nature? Hopefully Mama Toyo comes up with a fix.

Reception for satellite radio sucks, period.
Go under an overpass, loose signal, tree branch loose signal, thick clouds loose signal.
This is due to the spectrum in which the signal is transmitted, it is not good at going through objects.

I hit a few minor dead spots that last a second or so. Other than that I only lose signal in u turn lane under one bridge if going slow and it is brief.

My new to me 14 only loses the Sat signal going up Clear Creek Canyon here in CO. Wall to wall rock cliffs, otherwise zero Sat acquisition issues.

I get a strong signal everywhere EXCEPT on my morning and evening commute in a 3 mile stretch, it’s really bad.

In the morning I am heading north and I have a steep tall hillside to the east. It cuts out severely, and for at least :30- 1 min.

In the evening, same place. Headed south and that big hill is to my left.

I am imagining that the satellite(s) signal is coming from generally east (I am in Oregon, about as far west as you can go without changing to a boat).

My reception only tanks if there is something that can block the "view" of the antenna. Canyon wall, tunnel, etc. If you are having issues without anything being at least moderately close or above you, it might be due to interference from other sources. Electrical lines and even storms can create enough interference to cause problems, and that doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of other radio/signal broadcasting and receiving equipment in the area. The FCC regulates signals and frequencies for a reason. They are limited and not hard to mess up.

Almost the same as everyone, when i go under a bridge, trees, and the odd one is when i drive by the side of the building from my gym it cuts off and when i park on the other side its fine.
