Just thought Id share photos of a few recent changes. Felt some of the silver trim was a bit much. 53B407AA-7280-4474-B282-D33C37B4E2B2.jpg37AA2FA6-F5AB-48E5-9FFF-EE62976379C5.jpg

Do you mind me asking what you paid to have it done? And they stripped all the parts? Looks great!

@Jim LE 1301 There are so many options for carbon fiber. The one he has on the dash looks to be a more 3D /4D/5D carbon fiber thats glossed over. The films are really difficult to work with though.

Sorry folks- was offline for a while. Any questions I can answer? Its not absolutely perfect but its a TON better than the silver/chrome and it is a vinyl rap that my car audio guy installed.

Not my style but well done. I have done a lot of wrapping and this looks good to me. I hate the silver tone of those trim pieces and the chrome. I will be painted all of them i.e. doors, handles, ac vents, shift knob, center console,.....charcoal or dark gun metal. Bought the products from SEM. Will update as I go. I have always said...Its your truck so mod it as you want it to look. The good thing about wrap is that its easy to peel. Cant please eveyone, right? A good example is a mosnter jam truck. Its not my style but definately its a very well done truck.

Looks great! I'm gonna black mine out like my steering wheel when I change out the HU.

    IMG_9215-2.jpg

For anyone wondering it's all one big piece under the HU held by a bunch of clips.

Is that a steering wheel wrap or a Tacoma one?
How did you paint the center Toyota logo? Overlay?
Is the phone button painted as well?

That's a leather Taco wheel off ebay, only the wheel is used, everything else is stock Tundra. Watch nk1794's youtube vid on steering wheel replacement, super easy. Remove the airbag, tape off the emblem with newspaper, Plastidip, remove masking and toothpick out inside the emblem and around it.

The plastic pieces unscrew from the back of the module, you don't have to remove the steering wheel itself if you're not changing it as the modules are screwed in from the front. I used plastic primer/paint from Rustoleum, sanded first. The only button that needs painting is the volume, mine's Pd'd for texture.

Yes its a vinyl wrap so can easily be removed if desired. I think if I ever need to change it or redo it, I may look at hydrodip.
