One thing I noticed though, you still don't have your plates? Back on post #2 it shows "Longo Toyota" then the latest pics says "Northridge" ... ???

 

lol... yea that's true I changed it to Northridge I think the paper plate looked better than the longo one,
but I have a stack of these Northridge plates so I change them every few months to keep em fresh I will do it for at least 2 or 3 years as long as I can get away with it I don't like getting chicken shit parking tickets and this prevents me from getting any I also have a valet parking ticket blocking my vin# so there is pretty much no way those fuckin parking meter cops can ever give me a ticket It has saved me so many times im not joking out here in LA these fuckers are just out here handing out tickets left and right so I do what I can @r4z0r51o

 

Don't forget free bridge crossings and HOV lanes... you sneaky bastard!

 

I can't stand the dealer paper plates ... Couldn't wait to get it off. I also can't stand front plates ...

 

I hate the front plates, but we have to have them in Texas or you get a ticket. It's rare they'd pull you over just for that, but no reason to push your luck. At least I have custom plates.

 

Same with us in CA. But it's only a fix it ticket. I put mine back on, get it signed off by a cop, and remove again... every few months.

 

This is what I do ... so far I haven't even had to put it on.

Hope I didn't just jinx myself.

And custom plate would be the only way I'd keep my front plate on.

 

In Texas not having the front plate is a $200 fine instead of a fix ticket...friend of mine didn't want the front plate on his Trans Am until he got stopped...plate went on and he paid. Some of the Vette guys just put it in the front window on the dash, but that's a pain too. And yes, depending upon the town you're going through, they will pull you over just for the plate. I get enough attention in our GTO, so I make sure there is nothing extra to get their "goat" (so to speak)

 

$200?? Yeah, I would leave mine on for that much. I think we pay like $10 now, before it used to be nothing.

 

I'm actually surprise to see we have it easier than Texas on at least one issue. 10 more years and I'm out of California.

 

Here is my 17 Tundra SR5 O/R. I'm still on my 1st tank of gas.
So far I got the front windows tinted to match the rear.
Ordered an Undercover Flex Tonneau cover and Bedrug Bed liner.

Only 8 months ago my tundra looked just like yours, hope your prepared for your wallet and bank accounts to shrink.

 

Nothing solid yet ... Don't want to leave the kids high and dry so maybe Nevada (south of Reno) this way we'll only be a 3-4 hour drive away. Another idea would be a vacation/seasonal home in the Philippines.

Thanks for the welcome. I was a former tacomaworld member so I know exactly what your talking about. I'm just glad to have the same forum support with the Tundra that I did with the Taco.

 

You'll find there are a lot of good guys (Even you @WarEagleSteve) on this forum. Most don't set very good examples of restrain in helping you with mod ideas. Between you and me, they're evil! But I enjoy swapping ideas and gaining knowledge from them.

I need some new pics now that I have the retros on. Then wish my damn tow mirrors would come in.

 

Covered all the chrome with Line-X as well as the fender flares and the rocker panels. Haven't decided on lights yet.

Finally found time to install my sliders they have been sitting in my garage for at least a month i had them sprayed with Line-X I like the way they came out

I can't stop it's addicting @joonbug I just wish I had a magical unlimited tundra gift card now that would be nice the old wallet has took a beating this year

 

Tell me about it. Atleast you got the sliders out the way. And they look damn good. Did you get them with the group buy? I would've jumped in on that if they had it for DCs.

 

Yea I got them back when he made the first batch I just haven't hand any time off during the week to drop them off at the Line-X spot I finally got a few days off and took advantage of it

 

Tow mirrors are set to come in on Tuesday! I'm off all next week, so now I got something to do! Can't wait!
