yep, my lab mutt was 17. He was something in his day. Great watchdog. When he passed I got Abbey as a companion for my daughters Catahoula. The Catahoula is 11 and has hip problems. Daughter and I took her deer hunting last year and she had to lift her in to the truck. Abbey is a GWP and Chesapeake mix. Even at 8 she has no problems jumping up in to the Tundra. I would have liked to see the Catahoula in her prime trying to keep up with Abbey. Abbey can scoot.

My lab mutt was 17 too, and 100 lbs. I remember him riding in the cab on a long road trip. I hit the drive thru at a burger joint and got him a cheeseburger. He took the whole thing in his mouth, ate it and handed the tomato and pickles back. LOL
