Got my '07 stuck while trying to get out in a foot of snow that had piled up in the driveway in front of my garage. I have good studded snow tires on it. I thought I could get out. Tried 4lo didn't help. It's never happened with any other 4X4 I've owned, even with more snow. This is supposed to have some traction assist devices right? They didn't help except really get me stuck. It's probably heavier than any truck I've owned except for my '02 Excursion but it's not a 4X4.
I spent nearly 2 hours digging it out with my wife.
Frustrated and disappointed. I'll probably look for an older Tacoma or even something older.

    1 or 2... I lost count
I don't know what conditions looked like for you or where you are in battleground, but I had similar conditions in my driveway and had no problem getting out. I was playing around in the WSUV parking lot with about a foot of snow and that was the only time I actually got stuck. I found that turning off all the traction control "helpers" was the only way to get out. If they are on the truck will try to prevent slipping and cut power from you, and with them off I could keep wheel speed walked through snow. From a dead stop with a drift in front of you, it will not work very well so you have to rock backward and get a little momentum.

It was kind of funny when I got stuck. I was so pissed when I got stuck that when I got out of the truck, it still running in drive and 4lo. I saw the front and rear tires still turning but going no where. I didn't have my phone with me so I couldn't film it. I'll have to study the owners manual some more.
I drove it Thursday to Portland and back and then Friday into town. I had no problems but it didn't feel as stable as other trucks I've owned. The best 4X4 trucks I've owned while I lived here since 1998 were a '77 GMC, an '89 Toyota and '99 Tahoe. The '89 Toyota was probably the best since it had all manual running gear. It was the lightest too. I wish I still had that truck but it was just too small to carry any serious loads. The Tahoe was my wife's car but we sold it buy her a new Acura MDX in '06. The GMC was sold because it was hard to start if it sat a few days. It was because of the stupid ethanol fuel that was phased in at the time. I couldn't justify paying nearly $2 more a gallon for good non ethanol fuel. I never got that truck stuck in anything.
I'm going to start a my probably long search for a nice pre-95 Toyota pickup with an extra cab. I don't need to haul anything big now and I sure don't want all that useless electronic junk newer trucks are stuffed with. Maybe I'll get lucky and not lose any money in the deal.

What's with all the snow pics!? Haha. Think these southern boys and coasties are just excited to join the club the northern folks have to deal with for months on end. I could have got a good snow pic back in mid October... Haha.

Haha. Glad everyone gets to join in on the misery! I actually love the snow, enjoy seeing people get some who aren't used to it. Made me laugh at how much action this thread has got last few days. Crazy weather. Everyone drive safe!

I hear you! Actually, I cheated, the photo of my "Wife's SMALL TITS" was back in 2015. I can't imagine what is like to live in snow every winter. I prefer to visit the snow instead of the snow to visit me. Then again, it's been over 10 years since my last snowboard trip.

It truly has been a crazy year, not to mention some crazy weather!

    Cheers!
