Yep. Cheap and effective. If you want to spend more money- Blackfire glass cleaner is very good. Not really worth it IMO but I use both lol

 

I second this, sprayway foaming glass cleaner is up there with invisible glass. I like the foam for some reason but having dedicated clean towels with any cleaner is key.

 

You're going to like that steamer esp. at that price.

 

Upgraded from the porter cable DA polisher to the G9! Also had to restock on Microfiber cleaner. Lol. Also got the 5” backing plate.

 

Any decent coupons around right now (autogeeks, autopia. etc)?

depends what you're needing. i think detailed image is having a 20 or 25% off sale for polish stuff. i think i saw that hit my email recently

Amazingly,,, it really did last a good long while. And they are still shiny but not as much. It surprised me because it lasted so long. One good even coating and let it dry, did not collect dust or anything like that the whole time. I like it!

Yup. I was amazed. Factory PPF adhesive is pretty strong stuff. Literally just melted it away. Never had to touch a 3M wheel once.

That light is great. Scangrip is stupid expensive for what it is. I made my own Scangrip-esque stand out if an old tripod, some aluminum, and some relatively expensive high cri bulbs as well lol.

 

I decided on it because you use it lol. I need a picture of your little rig you speak of. Super curious now

 

Inlined a dimmer switch so I don't drown out light colored paintwork. Sockets and power
wire were from an old broken lamp from the house. Some aluminum brackets and soldered up.

Used these bulbs. Highly regarded in the DIY paint correction light realm:

Nice! You're pretty damn creative! Dems bright AF you almost gotta have a damn dimmer or you'll be seeing spots for a bit. Bout like my 10,000 lumen bright white yard light. I can see my dog when he sets it off and well past the neighbors lol.

 

Oh yeah they are definitely bright but they aren't spots, like mid range focus if I remember correctly. You're mainly focusing on the inner light to spot defects with a light like that anyways. But yeah I had to toss a dimmer switch I had laying around because on silver/white it would wash out. But it's the same thing as those silly $600 scangrip stand lights for some leftover junk and a small fraction of the cost in bulbs lol.

 

Still use my trusty PVC frame on wheel LED strips in the back too. They handle 80% of the correction work hah. That thing is awesome.
