Originally I was using max suds 2 from chemical guys but it wasn't doing a good job of loosening dirt off the paint. Switched to hydro suds and blacklight (still trying to give CGs a chance) and they work very well at getting all the big stuff off the paint.

If It's a light cleaning I'll use undrdog soap, haven't tried it on heavy washes but it does great on weekly washes. I foam the paint with soap and have wsp in my bucket and use my mitt to wipe the paint.

Depending on how hot it is outside I either wipe the paint dry with just towels or if it's hot I'll use after wash by CG which does an amazing job of removing spots that start to appear when drying. Hard part is removing the after wash on hot paint. Very difficult to buff off and thus taking more time and Causing more spots to form on paint and thus more work to dry vehicle.

Even having the car parked in the shade, when it takes me 20 minutes to wash car in the sun, by the time I get it in the shade again to dry the paint is already extremely hot. That combined with hard water makes it difficult to keep my black vehicles clean.

I like it a lot. Not sure of total battery time as its always enough to dry either of my vehicles (the Tundra being the biggest). I don't use it for anything else really, except occasionally giving the garage a quick blowout.....

Thanks. That's what I was going to use it for the vehicles and blowing out the garage. I have a gas powered one I use for everything else

Interesting product....price point way too high for my budget.....69.99 for 16oz? I bought a bottle of Dr Beasleys LS-10, which is a similar product, for 29.99 for a 12.8oz bottle, which works out to about half the price of the Undrdog offering. With proper maintenance, I've easily gotten a year out of it. There are quite a few ceramic-infused detail sprays out there that cost a lot less. Undrdog may make/sell some good stuff, but they need to rein in their prices. At least their car soap is isn't expensive, depending on the dilution ratio.

i agree that it is definitely expensive. I was curious so it led me down the path. I did get to see how it performs when it rained this weekend and was very impressed. The rainy season is just around the corner down here so we will see how it plays out.

Does anyone know of a coating or detailed that creates an anti-static surface? The dust out here in AZ is terrible and right now I am using optimum detail spray and wiping down the truck a couple times a week.

Good luck, I work construction on a site mostly covered in dirt. I've got a decent stockpile of CG products so that's what I have the most experience with. I really like speed wipe. I apply it right after drying and it keeps static dust from accumulating as fast as it normally does. It also works well in a atomizer as a quick detailer. I was washing the truck Sunday's then doing a quick detailer on Wednesday and it worked out well. Recently I've tried hydro slick and it seems to be holding up better then speed wipe. I haven't tried it on my truck but my wife's car stays clean all week with it. She parks her car in a dirt lot at work so it's constantly in a dirty environment.

This is the kind of crap we get into at work...

P&S just released "Dream Maker". Basically a revised version of "Bead Maker". Bead maker has a tendency of attracting dust, so they made another version to fight that. Bead Maker typically is a 3-4 week time frame of durability (not great, I know); Dream Maker has about a 1 week durability (yea...even worse). They can both be used as a drying aid. Dream maker is about 12 bucks a 16oz bottle. I'm almost out of bead maker (i bought it by the gallon) and have considered trying a small bottle to see how I like it. I don't think the gloss and slickness is as good as bead maker though. but if you're using as a drying aid and you wash once a week, it may be something to look into as a possiblity.

Just received some 303 graphene nano spray, any real world reviews? I went this route due to the ability to apply it to the entire vehicle including the glass. Appreciate your input.

The Amazon reviews on it are not very good. Graphene is/was the new buzzword miracle word in coatings to charge more money but really isn't as great as they claim.

I would look at Hydro2 if you are looking for ease. It might take a QD wipe down after application because it can leave behind some haze. @War Machine has been using a similar product that would be good as well.

Graphene/Ceramic are all used in Hype marketing but products do exist that are really good just not super easy to apply.

My neighbor tried it on his new truck. Said it was kinda "grabby" while applying per instructions. His vehicle was bare when applied and prepped and it lasted about 4-6 months....barely. He later ceramic coated his truck

I know 303 has some highly recommended products. it was close to the same price as some of the base line ceramic sprays. Just wanted to try something new. By the sounds of it I may be the first person on this forum to review the product. Ill have to wait for this Oregon rain to let us.

I tried and was less than impressed. Did my wife's car with it....to me...it was greasy and removal was more work than anticipated. The results were okay...but not better than a few other products which were a lot less labor intensive. I'd recommend Griots 3 in 1 Ceramic Wax over it....easier to use, with better results.

That being said....there are a reviews out there from legitimate detailers who used it and liked it. Give it a try....you experience may be considerably different than mine.

That's a definitive statement. I'll add to the 'skip' pile then.

(I was going Griots next after I finish my other supplies anyway)

Really can’t go wrong with Griots 3-1. It’s the best all around sealant I’ve tried for performance and price.

Since last September when I brought my new truck home, I was using Hydro Silex ceramic soap, followed by rewind (surface prep) followed by Recharge and Americana Mystic as a quick detailer each week. About a month ago I washed the truck and used Meguiars ultimate spray wax followed by Mequiars ultimate detailer each week. I’ve got some Recharge and Mystic left so I’ll give it another shot, but I wasn’t overly impressed compared to the Tried and tested Mequiars. Fast forward to last Sunday. My son had a bottle of Griots 3 in 1 sitting on his cart. After reading numerous recommendations, I’ve been waiting to try it to see if lived up to the hype. Sunday afternoon I washed the truck with Hydro Silex ceramic soap and applied the Griots 3 in 1 to one panel at a time. Immediately I was impressed with the results. It rained yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised on the amount of beading from Griots too. I’m debating on buying a gallon of the 3 in 1 as it is much more cost effective but wondering if I should also buy Griots ceramic speed shine too. Does anyone have experience with the Griots ceramic detailer? Should I switch to Griots for my other products too? Hydro Silex isn’t bad for some things like the ceramic soap, tire shine, interior cleaner, all purpose cleaner and window cleaner but I’m not 100% happy with recharge at this time.
Crappy picture of the truck with Griots

Speed master detailing cart I picked up on sale and some new pads to try out. Also picked up some griots soap (not pictured) at the local Advanced Auto. It produces quite a bit of foam with the cannon.

    PXL_20220407_202209471.jpg

I'll be buying the actual rectangular cart too. I know I need more rolling space than this.

Not too familiar with Hydro Silex products....but I've used both the Griots 3 in1 Ceramic Spray wax and the Ceramic Speed Shine. I liked the look and user experience with both products, but they are lacking in one aspect that is (strangely) important to me...that being slickness. My daughter's Hyundai has 3 in 1 on it, and I top it once a month with Sonax Ultra Slick detailer, which in my experience, lives up to it's name. I used the Griots Ceramic Speed Shine as a drying aid, and it worked very well in that role...left the surface very glossy. If slickness is not your thing, then I believe it would be great product for you to add to your arsenal.

As a side note.....I've started using the Griots Ceramic Speed Shine as a booster to the CQuartz Dlux on my wheels.....it gives them a little extra pop and a little extra protection.

Autoality memberships are 100% worth it. Newest pull. Really excited to try out 3D ACA 510/520 and Sonax Cut and Finish...I have heard great things. Will be testing Gtechniq smart fabric on a targa top this weekend. Also had to snag some more Angelwax heavy cut and fine polish because nothing beats those and reup my Hyper Polish. Also snagged a mini polisher that hooks to my rotary...1/2" and 1/4" pads lol.

Finally bought me a speed master brush. It's nice cleaning 18" wheels with it instead of struggling to get between the barrel of the wheel and the calipers/rotors on the wife and I'm rides. No more torn up knuckles. I like it so far. Have had it for about a month now.
