    Gas. 3000 psi @ 2.4 GPM.

Of course, what came out of the foam cannon was much lower than 3k psi :D

The GPM is the more important number.....anything near or above 2.0 GPM is very good. Lots of things affect foam.....the soap itself, the amount of soap, hardness of the water and the air temp all can make a difference. Make sure that you mix the soap with warm water to improve the dilution. I typically only drag the pressure washer out when I'm feeling energetic, until I get my wall mounted setup done.

How do you like the ceramic speed shine?
I've tried the ceramic 3-1 wax and I find it tricky to apply correctly.

To me, the trick is not to over-apply it, and try to avoid using it in high humidity. Weather seems to really impact it's ease of use. Like any SIO2 spray product, you need to be mindful of overspray.

Ceramic speed is new to me. I’ll post when I start using it. I need to do my annual decon clay and correction soon when I get some room in my garage. But I wanted to try this as an after wash product.

issues with 3-1 are usually caused by any of these three things

    1. to hot! Or in the sun when applying.

    2. to much. Lights coats like glass cleaner make it much easier. Just mist the panels.

    3. to long. Waiting to long to give it a wipe down and you’ll have trouble. It’s basically mist on wipe off use a two towel method for removal.

Agree with both of you @Swfltoyomafia and @briarpatch.

I'm aware of those issues and your observations line up with my experience so far with it. I guess what I was trying to say is that in the 10+ years I've been doing detailing and paint correction and protection, I have not had a product be so unforgiving if any of the bad conditions you mentioned are met.

I’m not sure how much experience you have with ceramic based products but I get what your saying. Cerakote trim is also the same way if you screw it up it will let you know you did. I think the spray on wipe off is a little misleading to some. They assume it’s easy because it is in a spray format. Idk. I love this stuff on top of my coated truck and I have never had issues with it and I’m in one of the hottest/humid parts of the country.

Seems that the longer lasting ones are less forgiving to heat. Most likely the SiO2 content that’s the issue. Punch It and Reload are both pretty tough in the heat.

Beadmaker doesn’t seem to care what the temperature is, but it doesn’t plan on staying long anyway.

Good point. I am familiar with reload, been using it to top the carpro ceramic coatings during maintenance washes. Yes, reload can be very unforgiving but I still feel the 3 in 1 still is less forgiving than reload. The carrier agent on 3 in 1 I think is the "culprit" here, it may be flashing or reacting too quick to the conditions of the panel and environment. Just a thought. Any who that doesn't take from the fact that it is a good product.

I don't have your years of experience, but I was late in the game trying 3 in 1, so I kind of got lucky in avoiding the pitfalls......I read lots of reviews and had some pretty good intel going into the process. What's funny is...I have a friend who uses it on his wife's vehicle, (which is pearl white) and he insisted he'd never had any streaking at all. We took a good look at his paint, and the streaks were there, he just did not see them on the lighter color.

It is pretty unforgiving, but it is also top shelf once you get used to it's quirks.

I haven't seen favorable reviews of it but nothing terrible. Lack of lubricity is the main issue common to the reviews. These "Wash and Wax/Coat" always seem to suffer in one department or the other. They either clean poorly or wax/coat poorly where the advantage would be saving time.

McKee's just released a similar wash and coat that seems to have improved lubricity. Not sure these will get me on board the two in one products yet but I could see them used in some form of express maintenance wash.

No pic's yet. Just to say this site is a little costly. Picked up some Griots products at the parts store and have since placed two orders with Griots direct. Still getting snow here so I have time to read some more tips. Great place to learn.

You guys have any good tips on applying products to white / Pearl vehicles? I find it’s tough to see how much you’re using since everything blends in. When I applied wax to my black truck, it stood out. When doing it on the Pearl one, I can’t see how much coverage I’m getting. I’ve just been doing it by “feel”.

This is why I do the two coats on white. It’s very hard to see any missed spots. Feel does come into play. With correction I use lights and try my best to look at all the angles.

White vehicles are definitely tough to work on. Not because they get dirty quick (which is a wrong consensus) but because it is hard to see any progress you have made with the paint when correcting it. I call it the ungrateful color, because no matter how much you work on it, it will not show as much shine or pop as a darker color, but that's just the nature of the beast.

Having worked on many white vehicles and as a current owner of three, I have found that light is your best ally when looking at the results when working on white paint. Not just any light though, it has to be a tungsten light hue. If you have a temperature adjustable light, try to get it somewhere in the 3000K and 4500K temperature range, this will reveal the true canvas you are working with. It is almost like UV light effect type thing....lol.
For reference a typical LED light is between the 5000K and 6000k temperature range.

The alternative is the one you have implemente thus far, working it by feel, also working with it under sunlight is also a good one, albeit a risky one if the product you are using flashes quickly or is temperature sensitive.

    Hope this helps.

Not picking nits and not sure the contrast was intended SIO2 vs BM. From what I recall BM is polymer based and has no SIO2, this may speak to its easy of application.

Yes sir, that was my meaning. I was speaking to Beadmaker’s lack of sio2 as making it easier to apply, with the trade off of being shorter lived.

Definitely good and 100% accurate info. My issue is mainly with wax or a non-sprayable sealant, like Powerlock. It’s a pain trying to tell if I missed any spots. It’s tough to track my progress like I can on darker vehicles. That’s the point of having the Pearl though: it doesn’t show everything that’s on the paint immediately.
Not a huge issue ultimately for waxing. I could definitely see needing a good lighting set up for correction. Doesn’t help that I’m getting blind anyway.
