My favorite incoming package. Shine Supply. Not sure the wife agrees.

Also bought some pads and a few shirts not in the picture.

    IMG_20200508_161952.jpg

I've not used the classy chassis or wet detailer. I thought initially the wet detailer was a detail spray but it's pretty thick but came with a sprayer.

Literally had just taken a container of ArmorAll wipes back to Wally World for a refund based on opinions found herein, and made an impulse stop by O'Reilly's to see if they stocked any 303 products and found the bogo deal...thanks to all for the recommendation, will be trying it out soon!

"Purchased" the stuff needed to make DIY shelves for my detailing trailer. Cost about $120 for all the materials. New trailer shelves cost about $150 each on the cheap end for some junk that'll break over time or rip out of the walls. Gonna notch the fronts to hang 4 bottles from each shelf as well (27 1 liter bottles per shelf). Made two so far. Daughter wanted to help with the shelf assembly.

Also picked up some Rustoleum Epoxy Shield garage floor coating. Going to cover the floor and 6" up all walls with the stuff. Was damn expensive, but a necessary investment.

Wet Detailer is weird. You use it like a drying aid, but it’s thick and chunky. I only used it once and it looked good though. (By the way, don’t use a an expensive towel with it, then forget to wash it.....)

You try the Spiked Punch yet?

Yeah, Wet Detailer threw me off when I looked at it. I'll give it a try here shortly.

I haven't tried spiked punch yet. Washed the kids vehicles this weekend and they love the smell of beadmaker and they did most of the work. Hopefully I can get my wife's car done sometime this week and try spiked punch.

I just noticed the Daddy-O sealant also. You’re gonna end up like me with a shitload of products that do nearly the same thing, and not enough vehicles to use them on. (Their shirts are pretty nice also...)

Tell me about it. My wife doesn't even comment anymore when a package comes from Shine Supply, Autogeek, Sky's the Limit, or Detailed image. She knows that detailing is my new hobby and she spends way to much on her photography.

I'm going to try the classic cut, classic polish, topped with Daddy-O when I have time to do a correction.

    Shirts are definitely nice.

How did you apply the wet detailer? Sprayer, pad?

It came with a sprayer but it looks to thick to spray but maybe not.

I used the sprayer. Had to shake it up pretty good to get it to come out right. Just do some test sprays to get an idea how it comes out. I used this video for reference: Even though he makes a point in the vid to clean the towel out, I forgot and ruined a Griots PFM.

Check out griots correction cream and perfection cream. Can’t go wrong with lake county hdo pads. What’s the plan for sealant/wax? What color is your truck your doing? Black I’m guessing

recommended products for sealant have constantly been jescar power lock or CarPro reload.

A lot depends on what you have to do/want to do. Are you looking to do paint correction? If so, how bad are the imperfections? Are you looking to do a one step.....polish/protection all in one product?

As Swfltoymafia suggested, Griots Garage is the place to start. Their entry level DA polisher, the G9 is your best bang for the buck. Plenty of power and a lifetime warranty. Lake Country HDO pads are a good option, as are the Griots BOSS line of pads. What are you looking to protect the truck with after you correct the paint? Are you looking to go the coating route, or a sealant? Lots of questions you should probably nail down prior to shelling out the bucks

There is a ton of information out there so it can get a little intimidating and expensive. Sounds like you will need a da to do a paint correction so the g9 from griots is a solid recommendation. Griots stuff is locally available usually so that’s always handy. You will need to go with Autogeek.com or detailedimage.com there are also a few others for specialty products. Griots has free shipping over $59 bucks and depending on where your at it may be tax free.

Kind of like grape soda I think. I will try to remember tomorrow to try to narrow it down.

The spray trigger on the bottle is pretty darn good as well.

Outstanding product. I think it has a green apple smell to it. Those Griots sprayers are top notch for sure.

I've been using it for a couple of months now and I am very impressed with the results. Been thinking about replacing my McKees37 Hydro Blue, that I've been using for years with awesome results, for this. Still on the fence about it :monocle:
