Custom job. I made the image in AutoCAD (by the by, I have the standard SR5 layout in CAD), and then sent it to a buddy who cuts vinyl.

Being the original is in AutoCAD I can export to just about any type of vector format and scale to what ever size is needed.

    I'm working on it

What is this contraption. You have here
Do you have a link to it
I have been thinking about making a similar mount
I see a lot of ford work trucks with a similar mount that goes behind the third brake light
But can not find anyone that makes for a Tundra

Bullet Proof Diesel is the company that makes them for domestic trucks. I ha e contacted them twice over the last two months and their engineers are working on Tundra and Tacoma models that should be ready around January 2020. They are not cheap though.

    Soo question.

    installing ham and gmrs soon.

I bought cbi Ditch light brackets for both nmo antennas.. but now want to throw them in the bed rails near the back window..

Question: am I looking at a big difference in reception mounting antennas to the bed rail vs. the ditch brackets.. I’d just like them out of the way and more “hidden” if you will..

    Thanks in advance.

Message 77 from @P-Factor is a very good illustration for what you are asking.

Yep, I did it. Paid a pro to install my radio. It's clean and permanent. The Yaesu FTM 400XDR is quick the machine-will keep me busy learning how to use it all for quite some time I'm sure.

Has anyone used the Evil Manufacturing 3rd brake light for the NMO antenna mount? I am curious how long the included cable is and how it works out. I am new (ok... very new) to Ham and have this 3rd brake light on my radar

For $350 bucks he should add perforations in the top and a provision for mounting a small computer fan to keep it cool. I'd consider it, if that was an option. I cant imagine it would be that hard to do.

This is under the rear passenger seat of my 2012 Double Cab. The large capacitor keeps voltage steady, the main body of the ICOM 208H is on the bottom right, and the HT is for APRS.

The remote head is stuck to the dash with double sided tape, and the mic hanger is just below it.

The antenna mounts are CB mirror mounts drilled out for a barrel connector and attached to the bed rails. There's one on each side for VHF/UHF, and the other for APRS.

Probably the smallest cb radio that exist, and of course a flat match on a Wilson 2000.

4 years later and I’m looking to do this cb mount exactly. How did you route your antenna cable if you still remember?

I ran it up and out the side of the console lid next to the driver's seat and then tucked it under the console plastic all the way to the dash and then over to the rubber firewall gromet out into the engine bay.
