Thank you sir. Trying to bang a bit more volume out as the year is ending. Finally insulated my shop which means I can coat through the entire winter so I'm stoked about that.

 

Midnight Black Metallic doesn’t seem to reflect as well as Attitude Black:

Last night I did truck after taking a trip to Vegas for thanksgiving.

Only thing I didn’t like about my combo this time is I tried the regular hdo blue and kept gunking the cutmax up.

 

Short weekend for me. Wheel off caliper/full wheel coating.

 

Her first wash (from me) eventually want to give her a polish, project for after the winter.

 

Now I wanna take mine off a coat the inside! I hate winter...which coating did you use?
With just UD on the new wheels it's like self cleaning even with shit on the roads.compared to the rest of the truck anyways.

 

Awesome! I can't wait til I can do this to my garage! It'll be a bit as I don't like paying for things I can do with after calling in some return favors. Plan is to raise the garage a full door panel (for truck).then bump out a wall and mini-split. So envious....good work as always.

 

I'm testing both IGL Wheel (used in the past with no follow up with client) and Angelwax Exodus Wheel coating. This got IGL Wheel. Supposed to be solid but the two layer stuff sucked. Roughly 1 hour to apply a layer, wait 2 hours, then another hour to apply the second. AW's is a single layer coating with 2 year durability while IGL is two layer with a 1 year durability. UD kills it but I've been pushing standalone coatings lately (wheel, convertible top, glass, etc) and trying out dedicated coatings for those applications.

 

I'm currently using Cquartz Dlux. So far so good. If it fails prematurely or doesn't protect as well as I think it should, will be trying Gyeon Rim next.

Finally got Undrdog applied. Of course after the 24hr wait I get to see it in overcast daylight and then it rains. Water beads off nicely. SSM might be the hardest color to get a reflection from...

 

Honda Element cleaner than my own truck. Finally got the first coating of 2023 under my belt. Hoping to double coating production this year. Coated roughly 40+ vehicles in 2022....lost track around June lol.

I've always liked the looks of those little things for some reason. I forgot to add that UD worked like a solution finish on fading black plastic on my mirror arms. Did the coating you used work like that on the black plastics on this or were they not that faded enough to tell?

 

Yeah I did two coats on the plastic. UD will bring color back but I have no clue as to how long it'll last aesthetically like that. If I'm ever commissioned to do a plastic restoration specifically, I'll solution finish it then give it about 4 hours (fully dried) and use UD overtop.

 

After about a year of neglect I finally got around to cleaning the truck yesterday.

Much better!

 

My son is returning from deployment Tuesday so I ran over to his house and grabbed his hot rod Volvo to do a quick polish and wax.

'22 Santa Fe polished and coated. Surprisingly really like this vehicle. The interior is noiiccee and the body lines make for some cool refractions.

Hah that it is and I knew that but wrote Santa fe for some reason oops. Been up all night with a sick 6 month old I'm wiped out.

Literally the word is in that pic staring my dumbass in the face. But thanks! This is this client's 11th coating lol. He's buying them for all of his employees....runs a 250 man engineering company. Keeps me busy.

 

Of course I had to coat my new race lid. This count as a reflection? Featuring one of our pits being lazy by the wood stove.
