1 of 15 spec 2016 Porsche 911 Targa 4S. This thing hits harddddd. Finished major polishing tonight. Hit some dirt nibs with wetsanding and a cut/polish. 3D 510/520 is amazing for this hard clear coat (cut and polished the hood, trunk, fenders/quarters). Everything else got a mix of 2 dabs 510/520 on a LC HDO. Sonax Cut and Finish had a rough go at it seeing as how bad this clear coat is, however I directly compared it with 3D One on the rear hatch and it had the same amount of cut, a bit better finish, and wipe off was insanely easy compared to 3D One's oiliness. More to come tomorrow when I tie together the small emblems, pillars, and coat everything to include Gtechiq Smart Fabriq on the targa top.

 

Finally got a new phone (Galaxy S20) with a camera that wasn't broken. I haven't coated the top yet...but everything else has been coated. I hated the car at first with the silver roll bar panels and targa top....now I love it.

Hard/thick clear coat means wetsanding means unreal results. Coated and sent her off today.

 

I’ve barely had the time or weather to do any detailing the last few months, but I got the Sequoia knocked out the other day at least. I put the new Undrdog spray coating on it so we’ll see how it does.

Sorry, forgot about this. Yes my nail catches it but just barely.

 

Usually indicative of a repaint to get perfect. But a cut/polish will minimize it to a point where it's barely noticeable. I'd go for it yourself.

 

I'll give it a shot. I've got some pads and compound just need to find the time. I've already got a birds nest of problems with the repair shop. I don't want to add this too the list.

Damn!!! Are those all your miles? Have you ever had issues with the timing belt inspection cover oil leak? I thought pretty much all 4.0l had a issue, some worse than others

 

Yes I bought it new. It leaks a little oil but that builds character

 

I wish I talked my wife, was then girlfriend, into buying the one that she test drove 15 years ago. She wanted creature comforts and I wanted lockers! lol

 

Yeah I want a GX next for off-road fun. Air conditioning on ur butt has to be nice in the swamp.

'22 Rav4 XSE Hybrid polished up and coated in UD.

 

What polish did you use?

 

3D 510/520 (2 dabs of each). White was extremely hard so that got Blue HDO pads. Black accents (actually a deep metallic blue) and roof got Uro 50/50 pads. Piano black rear sets and taillight housings got Angelwax Resurrection and LC microfiber with Angelwax Redemption and LC ultra thin white pads (2 inch polisher).

 

Gave the wife’s 2005 Sequoia a little tlc.
