Finally got to wash the truck. Hasn’t stopped raining in weeks. I don’t mind washing on a day it is going to rain but not a big fan of doing it in the rain. 752B854D-E31B-4F90-9168-23545631FD01.jpg

Not necessarily shiny yet (some oxidization and water marking leftover)...but the rain put a stop to this horse trailer today.

Deep cleaned and decon'd ready for polishing and waxing (happening Tuesday).

Have a polish and ceramic job on a 400whp Honda Accord sleeper tomorrow. Will probably make a video for that one.

I been looking alot at the Sequioa's in case we have another kid, but the more I look at them, the more i'm wanting one now regardless. i'd prob keep it lower like yours with wheels and tires instead of lifting it 6" ha. and now here you are showing me this making me want one more again

I’m in the same boat. I like my tundra but only use the bed ever so often. It would be nice to have a 3rd row. Are they redesigning this truck also next year?

In and out of the garage lol. Found out it is headed to PA tomorrow for a turbo upgrade, injector increase, and a new flash. Looking to put down 420-440whp. Quite a sleeper.

Depends. Grab an old sock and fill it with gravel. Use ONR diluted as a clay lube and get to work. Only then will we truly be able to answer this question.

On a serious note, is that THE stuff to use? What you see was from a trip this past weekend, but I do have some gnarly dirt/road grime that has been cooked on something fierce. I tried the Turtle Wax Bug and Tar remover and it didn't touch it. The folks here seem to know how to clean a rig. What's the product I need to be using?

I was making a joke. To get tar off, I use Meguiar's Tar Remover. Clay barring with a dedicated clay and clay lube for the harder stuff (ONR diluted works for the joke reference). For serious stuff, lacquer thinner or mineral spirits work but you have to be careful as it can mar the paint. Nail polish remover works as well (again can mar the clear coat).

The Sequoia is an outstanding vehicle. I’m a huge fan. They drive like a dream for sure. The only issue I have is the lack of power during acceleration compared to the Tundra. It takes a bit longer to get up to speed. It’s not weak by any standard, but it’s definitely noticeable for me. Stereo is shit, just like the stock Tundra stereo, but it’s even worse because the space is so enormous.

A great bonus the Sequoias have is that the third row seat actually has a real floorboard, with plenty of leg room. Most SUVs lack a real floorboard back there. There’s a ton of cargo room when you fold the seats down also. It’s just as big as the Tundra bed when the the second and third rows are folded down. Only issue is you can’t load anything really tall.

The platinum also has the adjustable suspension between Sport and Comfort? (I think) mode, which raises it up a bit.

It is a hell of a lot of real estate to wash though.
