Well rained all weekend so no wash for me but it still looks good wet.

Worked in the Tacoma. Looks like I need to buy a polisher and all that. The scratches are crazy. Looks good from far way though

 

Wait...no cerakote on the plastic trim? Ha

I actually put a layer of cerakote on my bed/tailgate caps and tow mirrors today

Your neighbors red car...g37 or g35? I've actually been looking for a decent g37x coupe. Not the smartest choice for a commuter but a nice reliable coupe with 330hp that is affordable is drawing me in.

Thanks guys. I was detailing my garage yesterday so I could at least walk around in it, and decided to shine her up.
Anyone else have a crap ton of junk they know they’ll never use, but just can’t bring themselves to get rid of? My house is over twice the size of my old one, but just as cluttered. Went from no garage to a pretty large one, and I still have to climb around stuff.

 

After all the advice in this forum, finally got around to cleaning it this past weekend. Highly recommend Griot's 3in1 and Beadmaker, they're amazing and very easy to apply for someone with very little experience.

Did you top the griots with bedmaker? Wondering how that went.

 

I did. I waited basically 24 hours after applying 3-in-1 and beadmaker went on super easy and seems to have bonded well. I need to take a closer look again to see if still looks okay but it seems to have worked very well when applying

 

I don’t have beadmaker but seems like this comes up a lot on these threads. It definitely gives it an extra pop. Ceramic based products tend to be better protection but not as glossy or slick as beadmaker or traditional wax so I get the want.

 

I'm basically using it as a sacrificial layer over the 3-in-1. My truck is outside 24/7 so I'll be washing it every few weeks anyway, and re-applying beadmaker each time since it only lasts a few weeks anyway

 

Perfect we have had success with Griots 3-1 lasting up to 5 months but I recommend applying it every 8-12 weeks so just make sure that bead maker is all gone before you do it.

 

yeah when I do that I'll probably skip an application of beadmaker so the next time I wash I can reapply Griots 3-1 knowing beadmaker likely wouldn't have lasted 6 weeks or so in the AZ sun

 

Nice should work out fine. I use 3-1 as a top product on my cquartz uk coating. So I don’t stack anything else above that hence no bead maker. I use spiked punch on It to wipe the truck down and that seems to give it more shine and slickness.

First bath since the ceramic coating. Simple wash was a breeze only taking about 15 minutes.

 

I’ll have to see how it looks when the sun comes out, but gave my Tundra a wash on the way to work this morning. She loves her 5am baths.

The light hit it just right today....dont ever have someone at a dealership buff your cars. I noticed when i went to pick my beater up last week that the dealership employed a guy to buff all their new inventory vehicles. Garbage.

I was at a Toyota dealership in Houston a couple of years ago. Everything on their damned lot had holograms all over them.

Looks good enough. I’ll probably go back over it with ONR when I get home, maybe add some Cherry Wax.

 

Yeah, it's 15 year old paint so bound to have issues but boy was I pissed when I saw that. There's a small spot of rust at the rear latch that needs fixed. May just get the whole thing repainted while it's there so I'm not worried about correcting them anytime soon.
