I'm very amateur at detailing. I only started when my girlfriend got her new car and wanted to take care of it for her. My girlfriend has a wrx (.....black). I've read Subaru is known to have jello for paint as well. We've never ran her car through a drive thru car wash. I just did a correction and clear coat for her last month. Came out okay, it was my first time clear coating, i had some bad spots (did it in the garage, not good lightning) but the correction went well, it really doesn't take much to take the swirls she had but she didn't have many of them. She has chips galore though.

Good to know toyota paint is going to be similar..might be able to just decontaminate/clay/polish/wax.

    Fair enough.

Knowing the paint is soft, makes me excited to use my DA now

Starting this lil gem today. So nice to work on a truck like this. Washed and decon and this truck didn’t have much on it at all. 456E91C1-F6ED-4FB3-B987-077084526CAC.jpg5C7A2EB0-71C4-4090-8800-817612BBF2F0.jpg

Cruiser is done and man that truck is dope it basically has every feature that members here ask for on it. I love my truck more so then a suv but it’s damn nice. Maybe to nice.

    paint protection consisted of
    Wash
    Ironx
    Light clay with speed
    Eraser
Cquartz for paint lights and black bumper topper
Dlux on wheels and in engine bay
Inside just needed a quick vacuum and a wipe down with carpro lint free cloths.

didn’t see any need to use a machine on it the paint is flawless. Next up is this lil green machine. At this point I’m debating going with cquarz or just using griots 3-1 I’m truly blown away with the performance 3-1 offers for the ease of it. These trucks I do are all part of my toyo clan down here so I see them regularly. 29DD4804-0717-4AEF-81A3-2163EBAF1B30.jpg

love that land cruiser! WAY over priced considering that most people i see that get them don't use them for what they're capable/made for. but if i had a budget of around 85-100k to spend on a vehicle, maybe i would too

Bro this truck is beyond nice. The quality of the build is truly amazing it is so different then any other Toyota in the line up. 100% manufactured in japan only 3000 for the USA market. I don’t know if it’s true but I did see that supposedly they are hand assembled. This one is my best friends ride and it will be used just not in the same capacity as our woods trucks. I went with him to the dealership and the sales guy was like “what are your first mods gonna be” we both laughed and said for 95k I think it’s fine the way it is short of some better off-road tires. It will see dirt roads and driving fields but it’s not going to the swamp I’d kill him because I’ll be stuck cleaning it up.

Finally got to wash her last night. Rain forecasted all week last I checked. At least I got the grime off from not washing for 2 weeks.

I honestly don’t get the value on a Land Cruiser at all. They’re nice, but not nearly worth that kind of money from what I can see. You can get a Sequoia for 30k less than that. Other than a nicer interior, I don’t see where it’s better at all.

Did a waterless wash on mine Sunday morning, and it rained on it within hours. We have the same forecast all week, so nothing’s getting washed for a while.

I am way overdue for an interior detail though, so I may get that done. I eat lunch in mine just about every day so it stays pretty dirty.
