Almost done. Just need to finish the wheels with dlux tomorrow. Needs an actual full paint correction, but can wait until next year. Not too bad for my first full clay, iron, polish/glaze, hydro2, beadmaker

It looks amazing @Shean, you put in a lot of work and it shows. You should be proud of this look. I will get together sole Essence together for you one of these days for next years detail. You'll love it, just need to pick a compound you wanna try. I like megs m205 but carpro clear cut better. You've got the right plan and the right skills man.

So I tried the CG38 for kicks, that stuff kicked little white flakes all over the place. It was awful, but not sure if it was due to age or if that just how it is, but it was crap. I'm definitely interested in getting a good compound and polish. So so so many different brands out there, hard to try them all. I do wanna try the carpro compound and polish. I'll start collecting more stuff during the holidays.

@Pudge thanks man! Definitely wasn't as easy as I thought or as they show in videos. But in the end well worth it.

Holy shit Jason. That looks amazing. You've got me thinking of jumping on the wax train. I have a nice paste wax I got from AG as a freebie that I'm gonna try out.
Currently I have the crappy DPC ceramic, with hydro2 and beadmaker over it. Beadmaker is probably gone by now. And hydro2 probably has another month or two left. I really want the DPC shit gone amd worn off so I will not be using any long lasting sealants like I normally would before winter. So perfect time to try some good old wax. I should probably IronX and clay before doing it, I wanna use my new DA to apply and don't need any more swirls.

Looks good! Did you use normal auto products or marine/rv? I need to do my camper next year and not sure if I should use my truck stuff or get special marine/RV products

I used Meguiars flagship Marine wax. Then I talked it with a little bit of bead maker.

I need to tackle my wife's Explorer. And its black. I told her I'm not spending the time detailing it unless she lets me get all the goodies to do some paint correction as well. I've been slowly wearing her down.

Just bought a black tundra with quite a bit of small scratches. Was planning on doing some paint correction on it. Should I clay it first or does it not matter?
