I'm glad I could help in any way. You should take a good bit of credit yourself. You did your homework and you put in the work. Great job!

So I'm having a dilemma, should I beadmaker or put on a coat of wax? I got about a month before the snow flies and want to put something on that will give me the longest protection. Did I read somewhere that @Pudge or @War Machine said beadmaker lasts maybe 4-6 weeks and wax less than that? Does a higher quality wax make a difference of longevity? Once the snow flies, I'm screwed for detailing until March. Trying to find something that will limp me to next spring.
I'll probably hit up the manual car wash and pressure wash the gunk and grime in the meantime since they have heated water.

Yes, some waxes do last longer, but not that long. Neither beadmaker or wax will get you through the winter.
The longest lasting sealant I’ve used is Jescar Powerlock. Either that or Reload is what I’d recommend for getting you through the winter.

Looking great guys! I’m jealous. We’re finally getting some decent weather, now my back is jacked up and I can’t get anything done.

Damn that's a good looking truck. Your hard work pays off. Idk how you deal with black. I pull my hair out with my blue.

Thanks brother. It felt good to get her back to standard. My back has been an issue, but yesterday we had perfect detailing weather. It was in the low 80’s and overcast. It was windy, so it would’ve been a problem if I was using any spray products, but I didn’t need to. I even dried the truck!

By the way, the two halves with different products were pretty identical in hydrophobicity. Beadmaker side still felt slicker, but both performed equally.

By the way, I use this for washing the roof, windshield, back glass, and tonneau cover. It’s a bit expensive, but cheaper ones I’ve tried have broken.

I got it for $40.00, not the $65.00 it’s at now. Don’t remember where though.

Good luck with that! It is black after all. After my 4runner I vowed to never have black again.
