Same story here pretty much. Bought this taco pretty much sight unseen and didn’t think it would clean up, boy was I wrong. 4B7C7CE8-8659-498A-9639-D8700F3C0FBB.jpg8F6AB530-8551-49FD-A163-5CC17D67ECB6.jpg

I'm loving that red color more and more as I keep seeing more reds trucks pop up here. Yours looks really sharp

Thanks, I never really liked red trucks but the Barcelona Red is an exception. I used Bead Maker after reading about it here and I’m stoked on the results.

I was getting Barcelona Red when I went to the dealership. Wife talked me into the black one. Still can’t believe Toyota quit making Radiant Red.

Came within about five minutes of getting a Voodoo Blue Tundra for my wife a couple months ago. They’re gorgeous.

I’m surprised you haven’t seen any on the lots in your area. It’s beautiful in person. I’d love to do some detailing work on one.

Me too, havent seen a single one yet. I drive by a dealership about 1-3 times a month while running various errands but have yet to see one. Probably for the best, cuz I'm sure I'd want it

There’s usually 3-4 available in the Houston area at a time. Not only did I almost get one for my wife, I seriously considered trading in the War Machine for one.
In a landmark event of personal growth in decision making, I chose not to spend more money.

Been raining all week and I like the idea of cleaning my DD truck...but the products are rewarding me.
Got home from work and snapped these pics a few minutes ago:

When I do wash the truck, it’ll be with WaxAddict Pure shampoo because no stripping will be needed and the WaxAddict shampoo won’t degrade the WaxAddict Tyre feeder.

Nothing left to do except to have a beer!
    Have a nice weekend everyone!

Looks amazing, like it was just detailed actually. It goes to show you how well the good detailing products can hold up when used appropriately.

PS you're missing a valve stem cap. Snag one off Barb's car before she notices ;)

    Thanks and I agree,

After posting I had a beer got bored and washed the wheels, tires, steps and wheel wells. Reapplied WaxAddict because I’ll be with a bunch of guys with trucks tomorrow and most are not Toyota’s. I like representing the toyo brand and the black absolutely glows, lol

My valve cap went missing when I went to the dealer to get the wheels rotated. They were the cheap OE caps but still.

Barbs valve stems say nismo and compliment her Nismo wheels. I always take hers off when I get an inspection.

    I plan on getting these:
They have a trace amount of copper so maybe they’ll last awhile.

    https://www.amazon.com/Kaolele-Toyota-Styling-Decoration-Accessories/dp/B07W125PHW

    Yes,
I learned on this forum that the Japanese are superstitious about black so they mix other things in the black.
The black paint over the years of washing is slowly revealing that it has metal flake in it. I first thought that it was fine pitting. It’ll be interesting what the wheels look like in another five years.

I’ve had those valve caps for quite a while, no issues. Surprised they haven’t been stolen though.

Steve and Jim showing off..... making me look bad and feel sorry for my truck. So I guess I'm due for a wash tomorrow. Might do a full foam cannon and 2 bucket but its not too dirty so I may do an ech2o rinseless wash, it's been a while since I've done that. We will see what kind of mood I'm in and how much time I have.

I’m sure your truck will look every bit as good as ours!

The last pictures you posted of your truck were awesome and professional looking.

Kudos on you doing your own paint correction and application of a ceramic coating!

You have new skills and saved a little money in the process.

Again I’ll say thanks to @SouthBoundSteve for starting me on this journey and others like @War Machine, you, @briarpatch keeping us informed of the many products that continue to be reviewed!
