Hello all...... I am looking for pics and reviews of aftermarket headlight and tailight installs. Pro's and Con's so to speak. I am having a hard time trying to decide plus i hear a lot of aftermarket lights are crap and leak overtime. Also looking for a solid lighting set up as well.

Spyders seems to the most popular headlight for Tundras. Lot of guys seem to be happy with them. Best thing I've done for my truck is to drop the cash and get a set of retrofits.
As for tails there seem to be a lot of options. I opted to just tint the stock lights.

Very nice truck. If you don't mind what did they retro fits run you and where did you get them. I have been looking at the Spyder's but not sure if I want projector.

You do want a projector IMO. They put the light where you need it and not in the eyes of oncoming traffic. I went with retros too and Winjet smoked tail lights.

Been contemplating these. This is a pic of someone else's truck from Amazon with them. Right now I'm just running the stock headlights with Sylvania silverstars in all my lights. I really like the brightest of them. What can I put in the projectors to make them nice and bright? Could you recommend a nice setup that is durable and that would last?

Also I was concerned if these lights held up to the elements. I heard I should reseal them with silicone. Also I do not want the lights to flicker or have issues like I have read as well

Have hids in mine no flicker, and didn't have to reseal. Lasting good here in ny and car wash no moisture issues

How is your DRL during the day? Bright or not so much. That's another thing I read that the ones I'm looking at during g the day you really can't tell that they are lit. I'm really torn because I like the look of them

^^^Looks like Phil knows what'll work for the Spiders. I've got OEM with Morimoto HID. 5500K I think, nice and bright without offending people.
Sean266 has projectors in his Spiders too I think.

I got some quick links right on my build page. I did the retrofit headlights and went with Spyders fog look on the tails. Both are explained.
No issues thus far with either, both easy enough installs, both offering much better than OEM imo.

Ok thanks. Some amber VLEDs would look nice in them. They look pretty bright right now how you have them. Thanks for the post. It's always hard buying something new before seeing them first. If you do happen to take some more pics that be awesome. Good luck with him

The bulbs for the running light tubes come with them and so do the brake light bulbs. The other two bulbs you reuse your own those are the two I'm goin to change. Will do on the pics. Kyle

One last question.... Where did you get them? I found them on eBay. I am trying to find what newest neon means. It looks like a different color red

    ALOT!
Do your research on vipmotoz,I'm speaking from experience when I say they have horrible customer service.i bought a set of taillights and within a week they both had moisture issues and after waiting 2 weeks for them to triple check and seal and test another set I received them only to have them leek in no less than 9 days and no they refuse to do anything about it so I have my bank going after them for a refund, just be careful because cool looking doesn't always mean quality!

Thanks. That's why I am asking. I hear a lot of these after market lights are crap. I just want to find something reliable and nice looking if possible. I really like the Spyder u-bar projector headlights but I am very skeptical about buying unless I can get some information about Hands-On with them saying they're good. Thank you for the heads up.
