I have the 2019 TRD Offroad Limited. I will be installing the Bilstein 6112 at 1.9 to level the truck and then install the Nitto Ridge Grappler's 295/70/18. It's going to cost me $90 each to powder coat each wheel. Is it worth powder coating the wheels or buy new ones? Did anyone powder coat and regret it and wish you bought wheels instead .?

I like the look of the tires flush with the fenders. I don't like it when the stick out. If I'm not mistaking, in order to achieve that, I will need a +35 offset since my OEM wheels are +60 offset . And I like an 18" wheels. I cant seem to find many options with a 18" wheels with +35 or +45 offset

I have a 2019 TRD Sport and did not like the 20" OEM sport wheels. I do like the OEM TRD off road wheels (18s) and more so the TRD Pro wheels prior to 2020. So I picked up a set of TRD off-road 18" wheels that had been powder coated black. I absolutely love them, very happy with going this route instead of aftermarket.

If you go with a gloss black or gunmetal gray, and the rims are properly powdercoated, it can increase their value.

I took a set of stock silver VW rims, prepped them, acetone washed them, had them bead blasted, professionally cleaned and powdercoated them gloss black. Most car manufacturers buy painted rims and they just don't wash up and clean up as easy as powercoated rims.

When I sold that 95 VW Jetta, I sold those rims separately. Lots of people wanted them. See:

I powdercoated mines and it was a big improvement for me. I really dont like the machining on the oems, it just doesnt look good IMO.

Heres some photos before i dechromed and headlight swapped the front end. 926C6063-7E30-413F-AAA0-F903DB9B671C.jpg

And spend the extra money for the TRD center caps. I think theyre around $20-$25 each, its the icing on the cake.

just for comparison, heres what it looked like before
