    If it's one of those chincy stick on bulldog hood ornaments than yes, leave it off.

    This? It sounds like yours came off due to the clips. The older models had different clips and they were popping out causing the bulge to snap off. It is clipped at the top and bolted at the bottom. You would need a new bulge and it will have the newer designed clips.

    I spoke to someone about this gap. They said you can reduce it almost to zero if you have someone push the bulge snug against the hood while the other person cinches down the 10mm bolt that attaches the bulge to the hood, then repeat on the other side.

    Got a new hood bulge off of Amazon for $105. It came with white clips which were loose. I had already ordered the green clips (thanks to Reywcms) put the green clips in and put on my truck. Looks much better now!!

    Be careful tightening those bolts. Those mounting locations will snap off of the bulge.
