    Hi Guys,
Tomorrow i have appointment for new 2018 Tundra SR5. I am going to trade in my 2015 Camaro SS 1le and buying new tundra. I was checking online for problems in 2018 Tundra and i came across this post https://www.tundras.com/threads/2018-tundra-pre-collision-code-issues.19312/. And people have issue with Pre collosion sensor and trailer error issue. Now i am double minded should i buy tundra or should i keep camaro for a while. I know these new tundra has lots of new technology shit so it might be messing. Anyone have bought new 2018 tundra recently and have any issue please let me know?
    Thanks.

Welcome. I bought my 2018 back in September and haven't had a single issue with it, including the pre-collision system. I know that thread shows the dealer applying software updates multiple times, but it seems like always ends up being a hardware issue. After the hardware is replaced, most people seem to say the issue is fixed, whatever that's worth.

I wouldn't let that stop you from getting a Tundra. As far as whether you should keep your Camaro, do you need and/or want a truck?! If so, get a Tundra, and if not, keep your Camaro. Good luck!

I have appointment tomorrow for new Tundra. I was just trying to make sure before getting 43k truck. It feels like it's okay to buy it :burnrubber:. The other thread with Pre collision sensor issue and other sensor issues scared me little.

Buy it!!!! There have been a few reported sensor issues here. Not enough to worry about and all were taken care of by the dealer.

Yep and software issues are a simple correction for the dealer.

haha i played them all over the different states dealers were throwing really low ball offers for my trade in like 18k or 21k but this guys is giving me offer between 26k-31k and 43k for his truck with 0% 72 month financing so i think it's good deal

Ya it’s a pain in the balls but end up being worth it in the end. I still wasn’t overly happy with my trade in value but I got 3600 off the msrp of the truck so, even the best trade in value was only 2k more

Go for it. I have a 2018 and have not had any issues with the sensors. When I took it in for oil change earlier this week they did the program update just because it is available, but not because I had any issues with it.
    It is a great truck.

yes, they are required to by Toyota Corp.. I get my Toyota Care done at a different dealer. Dealer I bought from is in a location that is just not convenient for me. Plus they pissed me off. I gave them a bad review on Yelp. I have even sent an email or 2 to their "customer service" person. I have never had a dealer just shut off all communication after a sale but this one did. Just adds to my perception that they are not very professional.

Not sure where you are located but I bought a 2018 SR5 a month ago. Zero issues with a little over 3K on it. Also for price I paid 41K and that was from a 47K MSRP. Hope this helps!
