I forget that part down at the bottom which states all items discussed in threads. If I remembered it was there I’d save myself loads of time

The biggest problem I find with reception on the Tundra is HD radio stations. Not reliable at all. It constantly drifts in and out or does not come in at all. Seems to be very dependent on line of sight in my experience. I put a shorty antenna on and it didn't work well. I wound up clipping the stock antenna slightly so it wouldn't hit the garage door and putting a rubber vacuum cap on. But I'd be interested in knowing which shorty antenna if any pulls in strong reception of HD radio and keeps the HD stations from either drifting out or not coming in at all. Thanks!

I've had the touted 6-3/4" for a couple years. I live in the TX Hill Country 90-100 miles from any big city stations (Austin, San Antonio), 20-30 miles from a couple small town stations. AM reception is nil. FM is so-so for local stations. Traveling to Albuquerque, there's not much listenable ..... but then there's not much of anything between home and Albuquerque, anyway.

But I bought it mostly to avoid having to remove for the car-wash. It IS good for that. I've started putting the original whip back on for trips.

Weird . . . i bought the 6 3/4" one and still haven't experienced any notable reception loss in the city. I know, plenty of signal there.
But, when I travel out of town on a common route which I've taken for years, I haven't noticed much loss on those stations either.
There has to be 'some' loss just out of pure physics, but it's not enough of a difference to make a difference in my particular travels.
