I changed over to BFG KM3 tires, very quiet on the road, which is when I noticed that my Nitro gears whine at 65-70mph. Changed over to louder tires - fixed :D

I've never talked to someone who's so knowledgeable and want to explain, it was the best experience I've ever had when comes to a purchase/service.

I wish I had the down time to send mine to him, but his help via text and call was priceless.
I would send anyone his way.

Sunday I’m going to take it out to the dirt roads to get the front diff broken in. I did 50 more miles…. Still have half way to hit lol. What oil did you use for the rear after the 500 miles?

I had to use a non synthetic lucas because of the LSD. If you got an Eaton, they'll have a specific oil they'll recommend

Warren is that good for lockers? I have the non-synthetic version in mine.

I'm pretty sure it is. There's an additive in synthetics that isn't compatible with the ARB seals, don't think this has it but I'll try to confirm that.

Awesome you have the front locker in. I purposely chose the Eaton E-locker but sadly they haven’t made the front locker yet for the 2nd gen.

Has anyone truly done a break in for the FRONT gears? Or just swapped out the oil when you did the rears after the 500 miles?

So I added Lucas HD 85/140 oil to the front and rear diffs after the 500 mile break-in…… sadly to say, the rear still whines ONLY at coast still. Matter of fact, it may sound louder. I thought it would of made it a little more quieter due to the thicker oil.

Should’ve tried a thinner oil to reduce whine.

I was told that the thicker oil would help reduce the whining noise… hmmmm

My gears were cryo'd and REM'd, put together by Ken/Zuk, during break in I used OEM fluid, pretty quiet, then last 8k or so I used Nitro's oil, which I have a case of, whines at 45-50mph, last week I switched back to OEM 75w90, whisper quiet, occasional very quiet whine at deceleration around 50mph.

I’m going to switch the oils then… I must give it a try. Everyday I’m hoping it goes away or I get used to it. Both are never going to happen till I switch something lol. I just did the oil swap 180 miles ago after the break-in

Might as well, also another crazy thing is, I just swapped to Fox 2.5 DSC, the truck became much quieter in terms of road noise and the whine, then the stock fluid quiet down even further, so good shocks make truck quiet lol.

I just had Sierra Gear 5.29’s installed front and rear with a PowerTrax GripPro LSD in the rear last week. Unfortunately there’s a pretty annoying whine at freeway speeds, 65-70 mph. I’m hoping it will either go away or I’ll get used to it LOL

I'm 600 miles into 4.88s plenty of rpm and no noise on big 32"s - so I'm happy. But, consider 85-140 weight if you are not in cold temps.
