Got the sunroof fixed. I paid my deductible and the shop fixed it up. Total cost would have been 1300-1500. They had to reset the sunroof as there was glass in the track to be cleaned out and that freaked the mechanism out. Now it works well. Seems to be fixed. Overall kind of a hassle but seems to have turned out well so far. Hasn’t rained yet, so...

Just had the same thing happen to me. Driving down the road and BAM! Heard a loud pop, pulled back the visor and saw the glass was shattered. Didn't see anything flying in the air and there was no signs of impact. Glass appears to have blown from the inside out. Insurance wanted to use non OEM glass and would not budge so I paid $1830 out of pocket. I reached out to Toyota to see if they could offer any assistance but they told me to hug a root. Very strange how these things randomly just blow out. Oh well, c'est la vie.

I have my moonroof tinted for the past 5 years with no issue. I do not have it open much in Arizona but when I visit the cooler areas out of the valley and other states it is always open
