My first concert was CKY at a skate demo in a mall parking lot out by me when I was 13.
My favorite has probably been Slipknot. That was quite a show - they flipped the drummer with his set upside down while he continued playing.
I saw an Adam Gontier (Three Days Grace, Saint Asonia) solo show front row at a small venue that was awesome. He has a rare unique voice and was fantastic live.

Last year I also saw Red Sun Rising (awesome), Sick Puppies, Sevendust (awesome), Trivium, Drake White (awesome country artist) - all at a small venue out by me. Great shows - I am totally spoiled there.
I also saw Darius Rucker, Jake Owen, Eric Church, and Chris Jansen last year - My wife works for a commercial equipment rental company that supplies generators and light towers to Country Thunder in Twin Lakes Wisconsin that we get to go to for free. Not a huge country fan, but some good concerts. Eric Church can really belt.

When I was younger I saw 30 Seconds to Mars (Jared Leto) - crazy show - he climbed on top of the stage lighting, no harnesses or anything. I also saw Sum 41, Blue Oyster Cult, Common, and The Offspring at Summerfest in Milwaukee.

I have seen 3DG/Saint Asonia, Pop Evil, Saving Abel at another music fest.

Cant remember a lot of other ones. I go see a local blues guy all the time - he is a true entertainer - Jimmy Nick & Don't Tell Momma. My step brother raps in a YouTube sensation rap group called The Palmer Squares - I have seen them perform with some decent groups too. I didn't catch them doing a performance with Umphree McGee's but that would have been cool.

I am slated to see: Tool, Incubus, Chevelle, Darius Rucker, and Highly Suspect this summer already. Hoping some other decent shows pop up. So excited to see Tool.

Would also like to catch Joe Bonamassa and KWS sometime too. I'm beating myself up today for passing on Chris Cornell last year. I also passed on STP (with chester bennington) the year they split up.

I'm old too so you know I know the Moody's. I've been to a lot of concerts over the years. My first was Chicago in Portland 1973. Hard to pick the best. I'm into rock but I really liked John Prine's performance at the Paramount here in Denver. Rush at Red Rocks was right up there. Any band at Red Rocks that I've seen is right up there.

I heard about this after I was listening to XM this morning. I was like, "damn, lot of Soundgarden today" and then heard the bad news.

    This sucks.

Augustana. HORRIBLE band and show. It felt like the torture machine scene from the Princess Bride, but I met a girl at that concert and married her 7 months later.

Best concert by far was Tool.

Some of my favorites has been:
Metallica - Seen them twice, and will again next month
Tool - Also saw them twice, 1 was a very small venue and was amazing!
    A Perfect Circle - 2004
    Shinedown - 2016
    Aerosmith - 2004
    Sevendust - 2002

Been a lot of other bands at festivals: Seether, Blink 182, Toadies, Stained... to name a few. Then I've seen just about every Country singer there is, ha.

Best how for me, ANTHRAX! (One of my fav bands)

Long story short, had tix to see Iron Maiden and Anthrax was opening. Couple of days before the show Bruce Dickinson comes down with the flu. Show cancelled. Super pissed. How can I not see Maiden and Anthrax. BFF of mine worked for a certain tix company and always had the inside scoop. He heard Anthrax was still in town (Ft Lauderdale) and would play at the Button South, a small club that could hold about 300 people. So my buddy being the inside man, he used our refund from Maiden and got us tix to see Anthrax. Best. Time. Ever.

Mosh pits, stage diving and head banging on stage with Joey Belladona and Scott Ian :headbang: (until bouncers threw you off the stage and into the crowd). A concert could never get as close and personal for me ever again.

Been to a bunch of concerts cause of my tix connection. But this one topped 'em all because of the venue (and one of my fav bands :D).

Mine was probably David Gilmore maybe 10-15 years ago. Played entire Dark Side, all the earlier big hits, a few of his new songs, and finished with Comfortably Numb... my favorite. Even had some pretty good visuals. Not quite like "Pulse", but still pretty damn good.

Rockstar Energy Fest 2011 at Fiddlers Green: Seether, Three Days Grace, and the first time I saw A7X. One hell of a show.

Locura Fest 2014 at Fiddlers Green: A bunch of no name bands, Volbeat, and my second time seeing A7X.

Aaron Lewis at Grizzly Rose 2014: This guy is without a doubt the best "old school" country singer in my opinion. He's also formerly the lead singer of Staind.

Granger Smith at Washington County Fair 2016: Puts on one hell of a show, plus we were only 10 ft from the stage.

That's a shame. Big Cornell fan. Life can be brutal and no one is exempt.
