Shakes and poor ride after rear lift

    All pointing the same direction.

    Blocks are coming out today.

    Your diff working angle is way off.
    I punched your numbers into this calculator: https://spicerparts.com/calculators/driveline-operating-angle-calculator
    Operating angle 2 & 3 need to be really close to each other - right now they are at 2.2 degrees when it should be less than 0.8.

    But if you lower the angle of the diff by 2 degrees, for example, would slightly change the driveshaft angle, then it would look like this, which is now at 0.2 degrees and within spec.

    If you're lift block is tapered (hopefully by 2 degrees) then the fatter/taller end should be positioned towards the front of the truck (close to the gas tank).
    Here's an example from my truck that has a shim:

    I was under the impression the shim fat end goes towards the rear of the truck, twisting the pumpkin up, to point the u-joint more directly at the transmission. The shim in yours would do the opposite.

    Regardless, after looking at the numbers some more I realized there was something else going on with my setup that I didn't have the time or energy to diagnose and fix. The blocks came out tonight and back to stock height. Ride is better. Still think it needs a road force balance.

    Lesson learned. All in I'm probably over $400 to try to lift the cheap way, next time buy once cry once.
