well that was the problem thanks for your help. I used a Dremel bit on a air wrench. I did NOT remove the shackle I just grinded it down while installed and its not the prettiest and I must say a very poor design by Toytec. When I go a different route in the spring I will probably replace the shackles because they don't look great after I grinded them down but there is no more squeaking!

Had Toytec shackles installed recently. Had a bad creaking afterwards. Noticed it was the bolts rubbing. I loosened them to create space. Would those 2 bolts (1 each side) be okay not fully torqued or do I need to totally remove and grind down and retighten? The bolt seems to connect the spare tire carrier to the frame and there were like 5 other connection points on each side from what I saw.

Ok I am at a loss. Recently installed the Toytec shackles set at 1". I replaced the OEM bushings with the poly bushings that Toytec provided and greased them appropriately using the packets they provided. They are not coming in contact with any bed bolts. Went about a week with no issues, and then the squeaking started. So loud you can hear it in the cab with the windows up. I took it back to the shop. They loosened and re-torqued the bolts and it stopped for a couple of days, and now it is back.

    Any thoughts out there ?

I’m also dealing with this problem. No issue when I Had them set at 1.5” setting. Squeak/Creak began shortly after changing to the 1” setting. Did you ever solve the problem?

You have to grind a piece off of the shackle itself when used at the 1 inch setting.

This can’t be achieved by grinding a bed bolt?
