I''m not having any issues, it's like butter back there. I just don't know what it should be like for speeding through the desert. Right now it's so soft makes me wonder if it'll be bottoming out.

Just read this entire thread. You guys are my people. Come from euro community with a group of close knit friends just like this. Originally from SoCal but at school in NC now. Bought a tundra few weeks back after the old family 2000 LC saved my life in a wreck. Icy road, hit pothole, lost control, took a few trees with me, crawled out with a scratch on the pinky. Later found out I had a nasty concussion but hey, could have been much worse.

In the process of creating the list for my truck. This thread does not help whatsoever.

Anyways, just saying hey. Hopefully I can meet up with you guys one day and learn more than I can ask for! New to the whole truck/overland/lifted/anything not a euro scene :)

    Cheers,

    Zach

I was the one that wanted to put together a run that weekend, but everyone else has to do the family thing.

I might still wheel that weekend, but I might have plans, not sure yet.

That’s the same setup I have but I have a custom leaf pack from deaver because I carry a lot of weight back there.

For mine I have my short tube almost all the way closed. I closed it all the way and took it out 3 turns. The longer tube I have closed half way. I don’t remember how many turns it is. I just backed it out all the way and then closed it all the way and counted. Then backed out about half way.

For the rebound, I was bucking more than I wanted so I turned my rebound in a few turns.

I’d bring the tools with you and find a section of trail that you want to be able to hit comfortably and make adjustments and run again. Rinse and repeat.

Thats pretty ambitious route - You would have to get on the trail by 7am to have a shot. Take into account for gas stops and stuff like that.

    is it?
some of the side trails are options if time permits. I just had em mapped out so everyone can see what I see.
I think mengel is probably taking up most our time friday morning.. We were expecting the night drive into chloride city. the only fuel stop I had planned was furnace creek
saturday- lippincot would taking up most the time.
sunday i mapped 2 exit routes. 1 being north to big pine, and second option is stopping by cerro gordo.

was this you by the way? I forgot who it was on TT with the DC logo on the grille.

Yes that is me - I had just bought the truck and only had 35's sliders and 2.5 lift
Didn't even have a Full spare so I brought an extra tire just in case I needed to run and have it mounted. lol
I have explored all over DV so know it fairly well. Titus canyon can take a good chunk of the day with time spent at Leadfield and or Rhyolite. Then getting all the way down the racetrack road to Lippencott and Warm springs is a long way. Lippencott shouldn't take long - the washboard road to the racetrack will take longer depending on how bad it is. 60-70 is a sweet spot for my truck but you have to be very careful with traffic on that road at those speeds. Anything slower is a long rough ride.
Sounds like you have alternate plans for time- that is perfect but you will be surprised how big the park is. On the map it seems like no problem LOL But then again we didn't break camp till like 9am each morning on the last trips. The more vehicles the longer it takes too.
