Kind of expensive though. I can't say that this guy would go that route. Coachbuilder shackles and poly bushings would be my purchase.

I'm new here, just got a 13 dc trd in Feb and love it! Except the tundra bounce. The part of hwy285 in conifer is horible. Shakes my guts! Maybe that's why I got a smokin deal on a 2.5 yr old truck with only 9k on it. The guy I bought it from has to drive it all the time. I've been looking at shackles and shocks. Talked to couch and he is a good dude. But that is a lot for shackles and bushings. Has anyone put the Toytec shackles on their truck? If so, do they make a noticeable improvement?

I just talked to a member about this very thing today. He really likes his Toytec adjustable shackles. Really improved the rear end feel.

I talked to one of the guys at Toytec this morning, was going to try and get by there and look at their shackles But wound up working late. I think I'm going to get them. I need to bring the rear up to get back closer to the stock rake anyway. No Good with a load with 2" leveling kit. I talked to couch last Sunday, he actually talks to you on a Sunday! Great guy and a great looking product. I'm just not sure about 1.25 or 1.75 and don't want to make a$300.00 plus mistake. So adjustable seems like the way to the
    go.thanks TJ

I have the Toytec shackles. They are heavy duty and do improved the ride. They do not correct the problem though. Hit a bad batch of concrete highway on Santa Fe and felt the bed bounce. Maybe not as severe as before but felt it. It's a problem with the truck design.

Thanks Sean, now my wife really won't want me going there to spend money!
Hey Brian, thanks for the real world info. I've gathered that there is definitely a design flaw. Couch says it's probably the curved frame and the way the springs are mounted on an angle. So, minimizing the bounce is the best you can do. I'm going to get the shackles on asap, then better shocks after getting a few more miles out of the stockers. Hopefully that will make it more comfortable on most roads.

Picked up the shackles from Toytec the other day. Can't wait to get them installed. Not sure when I'll have time between work and building a deck. The guy that helped me said I didn't need the carrier bearing drop with 1.5 of lift. I've got 2 in the front and even the service advisor said that the diff drop isn't needed. There is a noticeable difference in the angle of the axles. Should I go ahead and do either or both? Are there any reasons why I shouldn't?
