Seriously Toyota -- no seat back pocket?

So was I supposed to specifically ask for a seatback pocket on the driver's side? :( My '21 Limited has a single seatback pocket on the passenger side. There's almost no place to stash anything in this truck.

I have a molle panel on the back of each seat, outfitted with plenty of pouches. It's a solid option for you.

You didn't have to ask, just had to look when you test drove or were examining in show room.

I added a $20 Amazon Molle storage system too

If you go with aftermarket leather then you have a map pocket on both bucket seats.

Toyota really messed up with the lack of storage in these trucks! Especially under the rear seat.

Yup. Just one of many very useful storage features omitted since the first 3rd generation was introduced. :annoyed:

I was mad at first, too, until I realized I can’t reach anything in that pocket while driving anyway.

At least it’s not a Chevy where they make you get at least the LT trim to have even one seat back pocket, audio controls on the steering wheel (this has been a thing for what, 20 years now?) and storage in the front middle seat back that folds down as a console.

That’s right, on their Custom trim, they don’t even give you console storage.

I don’t recall ever using those pockets.
What ...to store something I probably don’t need and if I did wouldn’t remember where I put it anyways.

BUT EVERY ONE ELSE IN MY TRUCK USES THEM FOR GARBAGE!!!

I hate cleaning those pockets out and finding someone else’s garbage that has been stuffed in there from the last road trip. Some not so pleasant snotty old Kleenex’s

Yeah, I figured a molle panel was my best/only bet. Thanks for that tip. Those OEM pockets are useful for paper maps. And no, I did not test drive it beforehand -- I bought it sight unseen.

Also, I find it curious that the middle back seat passenger is SOL on a cup holder despite the enormous blank backside of the center console.

I was going to say this. I had the dealer install Katzkin leather seats a week after I purchased. Honestly can’t recall if the cloth seats had pockets or not, but I have pockets with the Katzkins.

Does the strap around the bottom of the seat back get in the way? I like this, but think having the strap and buckle in the small of my back would bother me?

I'll post a more detailed pic after work ...but no, it does not get in the way.

The way I secured it, I was able to tuck it in and rarely if ever do I even see it. The bottom strap wouldn't even touch the way a human body sits and the top strap for around the head rest.

    LED headlamps/fogs; interior footlamps.
Toyota has discovered "De-contenting" as a way to increase profits. Tsk, tsk.

First no more auxillary trans coolers, now no driver back pockets, what's next? no valve stem caps?
