Jokes aside, I would be willing to bet that they are injection molded. Initial cost for the mold and other setup would be pricey. A lot of time/energy/cost for a relatively small market.

However, sometime in the 1980s, somebody decided that it was time to start creating restoration products for the Chevy 210. Those people are still in business today. Granted, they produce reproduction parts for other 1950s, 60s 70s vehicles, but they did it. Sometime in the near future, somebody is going to have to start producing a bunch of reproduction parts for our trucks, or they are going to fall by the wayside.

Sounds like you and your wife are sitting on a goldmine!!!

i continually think about madmax, I’ll add spikes one day, but lots of our meat and potatoes type parts are also shared by other models, so that’s a good thing too.

She lines up pretty damn good. There’s an obvious gap at this angle

The truth, because I can. It’s like I told my wife, “Why does a man do anything to his truck? Because he can.”
It’s like when I added a rear truck spoiler, rear window spoiler, vortex generator, front bumper spoiler, side skirt extensions and rear bumper diffuser to the Subaru Impreza. Because I can.

NGL, I’d be pretty damn proud of that fitment.

I wonder if there’s a way to bracket up from the rear view to use the two tapped fasteners on the snorkel for added rigidity?

Do you need goggles in the Honda? I’m still digging dirt out of my eyes. I’m guessing doors help. We only have a half windshield.

Exactly. These 100 series ones are cheap cause they are 100% copies. The R&D was done long ago by ARB/Safari folks and/or maybe TJM. And being that the 100 Series is/was available globally, it was apparently worth it with a much larger consumer base than the 1GT (unfortunately for us).

But ~$600 for a "real" ARB/Safari snorkel is quite a large pill to swallow when the knock-offs are 1/10 of that price.
