My apologies if this has been asked before, I couldn’t find anything with the search function. I’m looking at adding a driver side switch panel from an 05 Sequoia to my 05 double cab. Does anybody know if this is a direct swap? And if so, does the auto down function work for the passenger window? At the very least I’d like to take the Wood facade off the Sequoia and put it on my tundra switch. Just looking for some confirmation before purchasing if anybody has done this before. Thanks

Most likely yes it should fit. In regards to the auto function on the pass side? You’ll find out, but it should work as the switch is what makes it all happen.

Give it a wurrll and report back.

At the least, swapping the switches over from the donor to the original plate should work. This should be interesting to see the outcome.

I'd love to see if this works! I'm all about adding little luxuries to keep this truck as current as I can. The more luxury features the better...auto windows, auto climate, remote start, backup cam. I want it all haha

Well, I swapped the sequoia switches into the 1st gen tundra today and ... no dice. It still functions as before, but doesn’t add auto down to the passenger side. Perhaps it is similar to the later gens which I think use a body ecu to control thy feature. Oh well.

That makes me sad. I wouldn't mind having auto-down on the passenger's side.

Sure would be nice. I could’ve sworn my old 06 double cab limited had it 10 years ago but I guess not

you need the window regulator and to run extra wires to make the auto function work. it is possible but it is a massive headache.

the wood trim CAN be swapped to the tundra controls though

Thanks, that's unfortunate and probably not worth the effort to me. I did swap the wood panel over as part of my complete trim swap however.

yea its not a small task to make work. auto function has pinch protection which means theres some more wires and what not involved.

Can anyone here confirm if all years of the first gen sequoia master window switch will fit in an 05 DC?

You can, if you use the “how to find parts” sticky thread.

    Google for: sequoia VIN 2000

Run the first VIN you find thru the EPC using the info in the parts thread. It’ll be under the “electrics” section, then “front door and window” or whatever.

Repeat with 2007 sequoia on Google search to get a VIN.

Then use your VIN in the EPC and compare the part number.

If the part number is 12 digits, like xxxxx-xxxxx-xx, the last two x are the part color and can give safely ignored. The first two pairs of 5 digits (first 10 digits) need to match though.

with the master switch, the plastic cover is swappable. At least it was on my truck, so I surely hope it is on yours.

Here’s the parts finder info thread: https://www.tundras.com/threads/howto-use-the-toyota-parts-system-to-find-order-parts.113808/

You only really need to follow/adhere to the first couple of bullet points. The rest is general info, really.

You’ll need to reset/start at the homepage with each new VIN you’re looking up. Like, remove the “/tundra/“ from the web address.
